I mean not only Nebraska but kids from Kansas, St. Louis, or somewhere near where parents can be involved.Yes. And obviously, there aren’t very many of those guys. About two per year.

Money may not be the main issue but it sure makes a lot of problems or complaints in life go away.I was speaking in generalities, but money is always an issue. Board man gets paid. The sack man gets paid.
He is not good enough to demand money. You can believe what you want. And you can continue to shit on posters who bring information to the board. But the kid did have money issues that impacted his decision.
Makes me laugh, didn’t Rhule and Co pluck him out of Iowa western and give him a shot when he had limited options? Here's an interview with Williams from today. He doesn't say much about his decision to enter the portal, other than saying that it's important for his development in terms of getting to the NFL.
Yes. He seems pretty cocky in the interview. At one point he says that nobody in the B1G can block him.Makes me laugh, didn’t Rhule and Co pluck him out of Iowa western and give him a shot when he had limited options?
Yeah. Whatever. See ya. He would have likely been playing another season at JUCO and he talks about our coaches creating packages for him. But he needs to go somewhere else for NFL development when he doesn't even know who the dline coach or DC is.Makes me laugh, didn’t Rhule and Co pluck him out of Iowa western and give him a shot when he had limited options?
Kid should stay and take advantage of what Nebraska fandom offers, I don’t think he’s got it between the ears to succeed, needs adults in his corner.Yes. He seems pretty cocky in the interview. At one point he says that nobody in the B1G can block him.
Not even Iowa Western. Iowa central or something. Kid sounds like he was/is kind of a mess. Grade issues. Late.Makes me laugh, didn’t Rhule and Co pluck him out of Iowa western and give him a shot when he had limited options?
Ha guess that was a myth lots of times all he did was chicken fight with a bigger offensive tackleYes. He seems pretty cocky in the interview. At one point he says that nobody in the B1G can block him.
Yeah. Not rooting for this guy at FSU or wherever else.Oh well. NU grabbed him out of nowhere. Gave him an opportunity and his head got to big. Good riddance
rumor this morning is that he doesn't actually have an offer with any NIL connected to it yet. I hope it works out for him but I think he made a horrible mistake bailing out on Rhule and the Huskers. Deciding to add him to the team was a Matt Rhule decision. It wasn't Pot Roast's call. His interview he sounded at least pretty genuine. I wish him the best, but I won't be rooting for him if he isn't on the team.
And it wasn't like he was at Iowa Western. He was at Central Iowa or wherever. Don't remember any good players out of there. Would have another year of burned eligibility if NU didn't take a chance on him.rumor this morning is that he doesn't actually have an offer with any NIL connected to it yet. I'm not sure if he was on scholarship at NU or not. That could have been a factor in him entering the portal. I think his original offer was to walk on. He might not have been guaranteed one of the expanded number of scholarships. And it wasn't like he was at Iowa Western. He was at Central Iowa or wherever. That would really surprise me, unless something else was going on off the field. 5 DL spots open compared to 2024. 6 with Williams. He would definitely have a scholarship if he stayed.I'm not sure if he was on scholarship at NU or not. That could have been a factor in him entering the portal. The offsides problems were a mental focus issue. We have no way of knowing what he was told as far as his future at NU. Rhule has always said if a kid tells him he wants to go, he tells them to go. I'm just not sure Williams is mature enough to make that kind of decision and I'm afraid maybe he got some bad advice. I'm not sure who the chick is in the FSU picture or who the potbellied dude is trailing behind them either. That would really surprise me, unless something else was going on off the field. 5 DL spots open compared to 2024. 6 with Williams. I think he simply got some bad advice from someone.rumor this morning is that he doesn't actually have an offer with any NIL connected to it yet. You're so full of shit. He was a top 15 returning player for us.I'm not sure if he was on scholarship at NU or not. That could have been a factor in him entering the portal. I think his original offer was to walk on. He might not have been guaranteed one of the expanded number of scholarships.
I wouldn't say top 15, especially if you count other portal guys. The thing with Williams was that he doesn't fit in a 3-3-5 defense. Put him in at defensive end in the B gap or over the tackle, and teams were running straight at him. There's a reason that rushing yards against us piled up when #0 and #9 were out of the game-- some of those backups really struggled. So Williams became a designated pass rusher and didn't get many snaps in some games. You're so full of shit. He was a top 15 returning player for us.
Easily top 15. Easily our best pass rusher. You can play both #9 and Williams at the same time and we often did. He wasn't near as bad in the running game as some are making it out either. He did okay there, usually held his own.I wouldn't say top 15, especially if you count other portal guys. The thing with Williams was that he doesn't fit in a 3-3-5 defense. He was one of our best pass rushers though and certainly was a great find coming out of that tryout camp.
Well then according to you, White and Pot Roast really screwed up. If he was OK against the run and also one of our best pass rushers he should have started ahead of Butler.Easily top 15. Easily our best pass rusher. You can play both #9 and Williams at the same time and we often did. He wasn't near as bad in the running game as some are making it out either. Please don't question Jimari Butler. He "produced"..... 65 tackles in 5 years. Irreplaceable according to oldjar.Well then according to you, White and Pot Roast really screwed up. If he was OK against the run and also one of our best pass rushers he should have started ahead of Butler.
I expect that's his girlfriend. She is mighty fine.I'm not sure who the chick is in the FSU picture or who the potbellied dude is trailing behind them either.
So then Butler is ahead of Williams in the "Jarhead 15"?Please don't question Jimari Butler. He "produced"..... 65 tackles in 5 years. Irreplaceable according to oldjar.
If you leave you are in the Jarhead 15. Simple as that. Vincent Carrol Jackson is probably in the 15.So then Butler is ahead of Williams in the "Jarhead 15"?
Gonna be a fattie. Guarantee it.I expect that's his girlfriend. She is mighty fine.
He was a liability against the run and if they ran when he was in the game they ran right at him because he was always too far up the field or dominated by the OT.Well then according to you, White and Pot Roast really screwed up. If he was OK against the run and also one of our best pass rushers he should have started ahead of Butler.
can't wait to watch him have 3 sacks next year en route to finishing as a middle of the pack ACC team.
They both got in plenty. The entire front 7 had a lot of rotation. Hardly matters who starts. On big 3rd down plays, Williams was in more often than not.Well then according to you, White and Pot Roast really screwed up. If he was OK against the run and also one of our best pass rushers he should have started ahead of Butler.
Not even close. So then Butler is ahead of Williams in the "Jarhead 15"?
Produced more than some of our incoming transfers? Yes. Nowhere did I say Butler was irreplaceable though. Please don't question Jimari Butler. He "produced"..... 65 tackles in 5 years. Irreplaceable according to oldjar.
Sorry not sorry, the hand placement in the first photo is hilarious
