Purely speculation, we've seen in the past where guys turned in their blackshirt as they weren't happy with their play... sort of a self induced punishment for motivation... perhaps this is similar? again, that's just a flat out guess

What kind of injury is he dealing with? This season is fast becoming a lost one for him. I feel bad for the kid. Said to be one of our best leaders and a great kid in general.
