Thought it was very interesting that he is being moved to the offensive line. He is a mountain with legs ! Wasn't showing much on the defensive side. Hopefully this lights a spark as he sure looks the part.
Stamina, plays too high, very raw/poor technique. Not sure how he will do as an offensive lineman but I love seeing the Huskers move guys around a bit. Over the years, players have rarely moved from offense to defense, but I've seen it done successfully at other programs.Hasn’t his knock been stamina?
Agreed, ultimately what is your downside risk here? You were getting zero out of him on defense.Stamina, plays too high, very raw/poor technique. Minnesota’s Faalele was largest right tackle I’ve ever seen, 6-9 405..He’s like our version of Minnesota’s Daniel Faalele. A massive body on the edge.
We’ll see if it works out, but I wish him the best.
He's down to 6-8, 379 with the Ravens, who put him under the shrink ray.Minnesota’s Faalele was largest right tackle I’ve ever seen, 6-9 405..
He said himself that it wasn't his idea so......Mickey always doing stuff to try and make us better
Leaders lead, folks
I’m not sure you’ve been paying much attentionHe said himself that it wasn't his idea so......
Your troll game is strong.I’m not sure you’ve been paying much attention
Mickey is the most humble person on the planet. You will never hear him take credit for anything
Designated lead blocker on 3rd and 1 or the 1-yard line. LOLI look at this as more of a personal change, not a personnel change. I always wonder why people think a slow footed, less ambitious player will be better at guard than tackle. A good player is a good player. Do you think Dave Rimington would been any less a player had he been a tackle or guard?
If he didn't have the stuff to even sniff this defensive line I doubt he has it to play on this offensive line. Then again the bar is really low.
If you went with 2 RTs and flanked Benhart with Weaver, that's a lot of mass to get by. lolDesignated lead blocker on 3rd and 1 or the 1-yard line. LOL
26 pounds? That's just a decent dump for a guy that size! He's down to 6-8, 379 with the Ravens, who put him under the shrink ray.
Yep and they both move about as fast as a sloth stuck in a pool of molasses. If you went with 2 RTs and flanked Benhart with Weaver, that's a lot of mass to get by. lol
That's a visual that could happen.Yep and they both move about as fast as a sloth stuck in a pool of molasses.
Beat me to itI'm guessing he'll be a PERFECT fit with the rest of the OTs.
The Browns abused the Bengals the other day by lining up O linemen at Fullback and TE.If you went with 2 RTs and flanked Benhart with Weaver, that's a lot of mass to get by. lol
I've maintained a Bowel Movement Spreadsheet for years.26 pounds? That's just a decent dump for a guy that size!
You and Pelini realize it was a weak attempt at a joke? LOL26 pounds? That's just a decent dump for a guy that size!
Thought I heard Sledge was going to start out at Center once he got on campus ?Tedddy P coming back + Sam Sledge coming in will immediately make those OTs better next year.
Not sure most people know how good Sledge is. Dude can move and has major growth potential.
Doesn’t even look like the same human as I bet he’s put on 50 lbs since that video.
His recruiting video is impressive and shows how athletic he is when not 400 lbs.
Hadn’t heard that, but I can see it. Body type might be a little better there.Thought I heard Sledge was going to start out at Center once he got on campus ?
Yeah this is what our program does, makes guys a lot slower and less athletic than when they got here.
