I've seen enough to know that Riley can't win 9 or more games...

with this year's roster.

Some transitions go smoother than others for a variety of reasons. Unfortunately, ours is falling into the bumpy category.

Now we will have to wait and see what he can accomplish with players that fit (and buy into) his system better.

8-5 is the best we can hope for.
We have 2 more losses for sure - MSU & IA. We may or may not win against Purdue, and to me Rutgers looks doubtful. Their QB can wing it pretty good. We may have to score 40 + to win at Rutgers. We may finish 3-9, 4-8, or 5-7 - all of which will be a dismal failure on the coaching staff in my opinion. And it will most definitely affect recruiting.

hopefully we beat purdue and rudkers, then iowa will be the bowl, and if we do that. we could have 7 wins, then next year we should be better cause alot of people are coming back, and people ussually make the biggest improvement between jr. and sr. seasons.
the main thing will be recruiting
if we can't get up for a undefeated iowa at home to get to a bowl game, theres trouble.

Ya, it will telegraph to recruits that there is an opportunity for immediate playing time.
