I've compared Thomas and Satterfield resume...

Didn't Thomas come on board after the signing of Raiola? Maybe the plan was to elevate Thomas into Satterfield's all along?

From now on, all these bootlicker reporters in Nebraska need to stop asking questions to Rhule at the press conference.

Every time, it needs to be “coach I don’t have a question, just a comment. You need to fire Satterfield, like yesterday.” Put that on repeat.

I'm so tired of hearing all this Rhule bashing. It reminds me of all the dumbasses who almost ran Osborne off to Colorado in the 80's. Rhule, can't make receivers do their job, he isn't running the routes, he's not making the check downs at the line of scrimmage, he is not stepping out of bounds on the 1 yardline on a kick off, this list can go on and on. Players execution falls back on the players and the position coaches and making any changes in those position coaches right now would absolutely cost us the rest of the games. Now, could Rhule make sure the play calls are what he wants and they get in and get to the LOS before 30 seconds, and could he set the expectation with the position coaches, yes!!! But firing guys at this point makes no sense, taking control of the play calling that is on Rhule for sure. If he is smart he will play the younger guys now and set things up for next year.

How is is NOT Rhule's fault that he hired an OC who:

1) Never has been worth a damn anywhere he has been

2) Clearly does not have any desire to implement the kind of offensive scheme Rhule talks about in press conferences all the time

3) Is clearly in over his head against BIG DC's. See: virtually every conference game last season. See: virtually every conference game this season.

Dude is STILL employed here. Pulling down 1.4 million. For horrific job performance. Now in year 2 and counting.

How is it NOT Rhule's fault that Ed Foley

1) Was hired

2) Is still employed here, making $550k for fielding one of the worst units in all of college football?

Is Rhule responsible for ANYTHING in regards to this program?

Not a damn thing like people grumbling in '76. Osborne had already won two natty's as an Offensive Coordinator and had a 75% winning percentage as a head coach winning 9, 9 10 and 9 games and was coming off a conference championship after back to back runner up finishes behind Oklahoma and a #7 ranking. So, yeah, it was a little ridiculous in '76.

Rhule's record in comparison up to this point in his career and at Nebraska? Not so much

Buddy, take this loser mentality somewhere else. Coached like Nick Saban DO NOT tolerate mistakes like this. Do it right or be shown the door.

a certified Husker fan coping classic:

1) don't be mean about the coaches
2) b-b-but Tom Osborne in the 80s!!

Bill Plaschke of the LA Times would ask exactly those questions of UCLA or USC. But in this little town where NU sports is all there is reporters are scared to death of losing access to the program. So they will occasionally grumble a bit in a column, podcast or YouTube video but they will never risk a question that will get them silenced. It sucks but I can’t blame them too much. I suspect it is the case in every small market that has one big dog.
