It's Vedral..

And Vedral has looked as good or better than Martinez. On the road, in freezing temperatures, with a driving sleet, no less. I was told Martinez was a superstar.
are we watching the same game?

Are you watching the same team? Martinez collapses every time he gets a hand in his face, and Nebraska's line is ole! blocking tonight.

How many turnovers did Nebraska have in the cold and snow? None. That number would have been four with Martinez.

Our O line sucks. Vedral is doing about as good as Martinez would do with the way the O line is playing. I think Martinez gives us the best chance to win when he's healthy. I wouldn't mind seeing Vedral get a series or two a game going forward. There's not much of a dropoff and I think it could help open some things up for Martinez.

umm, the line has been a turnstile all season

thanks for the non sequitur.. can you remind me how many turnovers we had last week? I forgot.

I disagree, Vedral looks like he's comfortable running the offense. He'd be doing fine without our terrible O line and play calling. Martinez is obviously our best option at starter but I don't see the need to hate on Vedral. He's doing as well as he can given the circumstances.

he's comfortable running called qb keepers

he can't/is unwilling to throw

I don't want my comments to be construed as hating on Vedral. It doesn't matter who the QB, the offensive line is a disaster.

Whether you like AM or Vedral better, if the 1st half doesn’t convince people we have far bigger problems than QB, not sure what will.
Amen. This team got manhandled the entire first half and yet the QB pissing match continues. Let’s all tell ourselves that McCaffrey is the answer so we can extend the nonsense for another week.

I'm so tired of this shotgun spread offense that we keep trying to run with inept personnel. Line up and run out of the I for the rest of the year. The O-line can't pass block, we have one decent wide receiver who has already been injured and Robinson seems to be in limbo at the moment. Utilize the running backs, FFS. Keep the defense off of the field. Maybe that will give us a chance to salvage the season and make a bowl game.

Seems to work okay for other teams, including the one beating our asses

They can’t run behind this line..

Sure they can. It's about giving the linemen fixed responsibilities. No zone blocking. No backing up. If they can initiate the push off the line, I think they would be a hell of a lot better than they are now.

Or, the staff can keep doing the same thing and get shut out by Minnesota. And some of our fans can keep making excuses.

I'm most disappointed in the punter. The one thing our bad NU teams had was good punting. These 30 yard punts are embarrassing.

And the 3rd Q should tell you why Vedral is the backup and AM the starter and still why neither is the major problem on this team.
