It's pretty apparent that Tom Shatel has an axe to grind with Eichorst and Riley

I'm sure that his pals over at HPH enjoyed the column (Shatel is a member of HPH, by the way).

Unfortunately, the programs that we compete with for recruits appreciated the column as well.

It's terrific recruiting fodder for our opponents. Here's a summary of the pablum that he just spit out:

"Riley's ship is sinking...he's in over his head. Defensive coordinator just got shitcanned...who's to say that Langsdorf isn't next? It's a cluster**** in Lincoln right now. Eichorst and Riley are running scared.

Daily Reminder: other than Burton Burns, no one on Nick Saban's staff at Alabama has been with the program for >4 years. In fact, Saban ran off his OC a week before the national championship game.

Per Shatel, Nick Saban and Dabo Swinney must also be running scared, because there is constant turnover on their assistant coaching staffs each year.

This is the same dope who opined in another column last week that Nebraska should pattern itself after the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Shatel is that ne'er-do-well uncle who gets drunk on a 12-pack of Old Milwaukee during Thanksgiving dinner and proceeds to regale everyone within earshot on how Nebraska could return to greatness if we only practiced harder, ran the ball more often, and recruited more 5-star heart kids from Nebraska.

While his HPH pals are surely proud of his efforts, you have to wonder if Shatel's sports editor at the OWH has been sleeping on the job. He's a mouthbreathing idiot.
