My excitement can hardly be contained, so I figured what the heck, I'll pull a @SergeantTibbs and let you all know why this weekend is so great.
Today we (the team I coach) have our last practice until our game tomorrow. After practice I'll head right over to my buddy's house (Utah Utes fan) to watch Utah blowout Southern Utah. I know it's not ideal, but hey it's college football nonetheless. Plus, Air Force gave us the day off tomorrow so we can drink as much as we want! Win-win!
I'll have time to sober up as we don't leave until noon to make a roadtrip down the Kenai peninsula for our first major game this year. Beat our opponents by scores of 48-8, 45-6, and 43-0. Ready for some real competition now! Hard week of practice and now the kids will see that hard work come to fruition.
After coming home from our game victorious (and a few stops along the way to do some last minute fishing with the rest of the coaches), I'll celebrating my promotion to Staff Sergeant with all of my coworkers. Worked hard and made it the first time!
All the boys are coming over to watch college ball all day long! Watching the Skers trounce Fresno, and take in some other quality games that day two. 3 50+ inch screens lined up on one wall. Perfect setup!
Sunday is NFL day! Last minute fantasy lineup changes, for better or worse, and tons of beer and wings! My the fantasy gods be forever in my forever. Praise be upon the Shiva.
And Monday will be another day off, because of Labor day of course. I'll be taking the girlfriend on a surprise date/picnic to Thunderbird Falls. She doesn't get to see me much during football season as I go to work before she does and I don't get home until late due to practice and working out. Life of a coach/airman!
It will be a great weekend full of football, beer, and hopefully coitus! Who am I kidding, of COURSE there will be coitus. Great weekend to be a Nebraska fan and an Airman!
