Is T. Lee the worst qb in Nebraska history?

Scott Frost
That actually would have been a popular answer in Sept 1996. #1 ranked, two-time defending National Champions come to Tempe and led by Scott Frost lose 19-0 to the same team they put about 70 on the year before. Obviously we have seen some really bad qb games since then, but considering the quality of the team, Scott for at least that day was about as bad as he could be. And considering I worked for ASU at the time, the following Monday was probably the worst day at work ever. Take all the snide comments on this board for a month, multiply it by 100 and that would approximate all the crap I took on behalf of Scott and company.

People forget that Central Florida's '97 QB was this guy named Dante Culpepper who turned out to be an okay player.

I doubt Tanner Lee will be playing at NU next year with our new coach. Who in their right mind would start him throwing all those interceptions? Just think how many interceptions he will end up with at the end of the year if MR does not change QB's and by the looks of it MR is going with Tanner Lee to the end of his coaching days.

Does anyone actually break down film, maybe analyze the plays when the picks were thrown? Might as well blame Lee for horrible play calling, miss blocking assignments, and dropped passes. Husker fans being the most knowledgeable is a crock of shit.

Why would anyone do that? It is easier just to blame T. Lee...

I'll never understand the desire to rip apart one's own teams' football players on a personal level for whatever reason.

Congratulate Lee for growing and showing some progress... however slow it may be. Don't crucify him, for I think the blame is on coaches. IF* Lee was behind a decent O line, he would in all honesty look better. If Lee didn't have Langs in his ear, acting like Leach on 3rd downs... He probably looks better. (We saw these patterns with Tommy, too... So it's a coaching issue).

That said, I am giving him the benefit of the doubt. This O line is atrocious. Langs is questionable.

P.S. if any of you booed Lee today at Memorial Stadium, when he started the 3rd Q... that's not cool. Boo the coaches. Boo the AD. But, don't boo the kids. Ever.

Edit: To add to the booing... this is the kind of crap that births "Us against the World" mentalities. I will assume that atleast 99% of fans hated that culture and disconnect. Cut it out.

Mike Grant is a super cool dude, I like him. You guys bangin on him suck. Jammal Lord is nowhere near as bad as some of you think either. Sometimes our fans effing suck, exhibit #1, this thread.

Great post.

He was so damn good.
Husker fans are stupid, the hate for Lord proves it.
Dailey too (not as good as Lord but didn't deserve the hate). Wtf do you expect when Callahan runs a system 180 degrees different and husker fans went right along with cally in throwing him under the bus.

Lord had everything work against him. He followed Frazier, Frost and Crouch , had the crappiest season to start his career most NU fans had seen, and was a pretty poor passer.

Right now we would be thankful to have him though. Maybe it would prevent Langsdorf from ordering up 40 passes a game and long bombs on 3rd and 2.

Simply amazing isn't it? I'm just as frustrated with the team as much as anyone, but it's really clouding the judgement of a lot of husker fans. There's a lot of misplaced anger.
