Is less than 60% completion pct what to expect?

One more completion and he was at 62.5, two more and its 66% Too small a sample size to make a huge deal about it.

Lee is easily the better QB. Hansen threw wide open 5 yard passes all night.
By far the better of the two. He through a few balls away which was not his fault and a great choice each time. On top of that his deep balls could not ave been placed in a better spot and then to top it off most of his incomplete passes were dropped not bad passes.

Oh I right with Tuco. I was poking fun that we're saying under 60% when we're talking by numbers on the right side of the decimal.
Gotcha. It helps people with their agendas.

How dare he throw the ball away. Get to the LOS and slide and keep that percentage up.

That pass on the last play was illegally touched. That receiver was way out of bounds in the end zone before coming back in.
Don't baffle the village troll with facts. His world ignores the facts that the punt return non-fumble was a common call where the player is being pushed back and the whistle blows before the ball comes out. The over ruled catch in the end zone was also a correct call. The senile old "expert" didn't watch closely enough to see that the receiver hadn't secured the ball before it was poked out. The final pass was not "dropped". You would think a preacher's wife would know better than to bear false witness on a Sunday of all days.

The point wasn't the drops, the point was with such a small sample size the pct would fluctuate greatly with 1 less completion or 1 more completion.
The sample size was too small? So 32 attempts is a small sample.. geez . and people talk about agendas

Did anyone get a glimpse of Obrien on the sidelines? We didn't play well enough to get him any snaps but maybe he at least took the opportunity to take some snaps under center or make some tosses while the crowd was amped up. Maybe he will get the opportunity to get some snaps this week
Ok we must be on the cusp of a National Championship because Husker fans are now calling for the 2nd string QB. Not since Frost.

I'm not in any way calling for the 2nd string QB. It would have been nice to get him as well as a host of other players some game time snaps against teams that we are supposed to be able to put away. It is a long season - it would be nice not to have to play Stolt-Knevel, etc so many minutes in order to maximize their ability to remain healthy the entire year.

Injuries are often a result of the cumulative wear and tear that occurs during the season leading to chronic injuries late in the year.

Stolt? He played about 45-50% of the snaps. I don't have exact numbers but I would venture to say about 25 different players got snaps on the defensive side of the ball.

Not a perfect world or game situation. If he would have played and huskers lost, an element of fans would have b__chd that game was lost because Lee didn't play the entire game. This is a Husker fan disease. Sit on the couch and second guess every little thing that goes on during the game and the "proper way " to do it. Not a perfect game, but sure as heck entertaining and a win. Would I have done things different? I'm not getting paid to second guess

Regardless I'm sure everyone would have preferred less meaningful 4th quarter snaps for the 2 deep. Our 1st team oline was out there grinding it out and our Iback carried the ball 31 times while the second string I back got 2 carries.

Lee's passing in a nutshell: He put the balls on target every time. Some of these were difficult passes they were also all over the field. He hit a couple of players in the hands and they dropped the ball, one was in the end zone to the TE.

Lee is money! The only things I saw were his first pass possession he tried to force a pass into the middle where it wasn't there which could be a pick against Iowa or Ohio State like Defenses. The ball that floated out of bounds was more the WR getting pushed off his route and running on the sidelines. I think Lee needs to work on pocket awareness. A couple of hits he didn't see coming. Would have been nice to see him tuck it and run decisively when everyone was covered or there is pressure coming but I think that will come with time.

Arky-State had a good QB but its like comparing putt putt to golf. Lee was using all the clubs in his bag while the other QB was using his putter all game.

Regardless, I'm sure you're correct in that everyone would have preferred less snaps for the 2 deep, but that isn't what happened. But don't pretend that multiple players didn't get reps, especially on the defensive side of the ball.

My goodness nikki youve gone full retard. And to think I had liked a few of your posts in the past.
Ark qb did a great job....but no. Just. No.
Lee looked great and arguably played a tougher scheme.
Oh and are you Disappointed in our crap defense? Cuz its either their qb is great or our d is bad...cant have both man.
So does Nikki think lee would still be 59% against the NU scheme Hanson faced?

Some of you guys should check out the Husker Doc Talk podcast on the last game. You would find out who that Hansen guy is. He was the heir apparent at Oklahoma, who ended up transferring.

I am not sure why people think 32 passing attempts is such a small sample for a game. Isn't that about an average amount of attempts? If he only threw 12 passes or something, then I would agree, but 32 attempts seems about average for a game.

As for this game, the interceptions have hurt us.

That's a tough game for Lee. He made his first start in 2 years last week, and his first game on the road is against Oregon. That's a difficult task for a guy who's only played one game in the last 2 years. IMO, 60% isn't an unreasonable expectation the rest of the way. He's got a home game under his belt. He has a very difficult test on the road under his belt. He throws a great ball and has a lot of potential. He missed at least 5 open receivers today, which is too many. Outside of Ohio State, we won't see another team all season with the team speed of Oregon. Get Lee into a groove the next couple of weeks leading up to Wisconsin and I think 60% is completely reasonable. In fact, I would put that down as one of our leading stats. If Lee converts for 60% or better, than I would say we win. Less than 60%, we're in a dog fight and may lose.
