I know WVU is favored but ISU is ranked higher. Not sure this can be classified as an upset anymore if ISU wins IMO. It’ll be interesting to see how they handle being a top 15 team with a target on them now
I guess in my mind ISU is still a doormat team that is an underdog against any quality team. I need to adjust that prejudice!
IF Matt Campbell and ISU can finish this strong his stock in my eyes will be going way up and maybe earning the attention he is currently getting from some. Right now not sold but 3 out of the next 4 games will prove it on the field.
i wouldn't call this an upset should ISU win. wvu all 3 losses have come to ranked teams: #21 VT L 31-24 (@wvu); #8 TCU L 31-24 (@tcu); #11 OkSt L 50-39(@wvu)
wvu was right there in 2 of the games. OkSt pummeled them pretty good---especially in the trenches. i believe wvu has the #1 rusher in big12, but, the rushing game hasn't been what you would call consistent. forecast: cloudy, chance of a shower. still, i go with wvu on this weekend.

I think that if we can run for a change that it will be the key to a win for the Cyclones. WVA QB might be the best in the B12 but our D has only allowed one offense generated touchdown in the last two games and that touchdown was a twenty yard drive after an interception. Cyclones got zero penalties during the Texas Tech game and only 3 during the TCU game so that is something else that Campbell stresses. Weather could be a factor as rain and wind could favor a WVA ground game while we only have one frontline running back. We won the TCU game due to turnovers so I hope we can suck a few of those out of the Mountaineers.
I am excited......this is all like a gift from God totally unexpected. These games aren't flukes....our guys love playing football together and play like a team.
Did any of you see the Iowa vs Penn State game? One of the greatest football games I have ever seen. Huskers should fear the Hawks and not just say they "suck"... The Hawks know how to do just enough to stay in every game they play.

Point is, the BIG12 sucks and he has had 2 good wins. Funny that everyone is anointing him the next great coach. Hey, if Nebraska wants to throw a truck load of money at him, so be it.
I will give him credit for improving that team a bunch from last year to this year.
Well, 40% of the B12 is in the top 15 teams in the nation so I see no "sucking" there... Won't Wisconsin win the B10 West without having to play a top 30 team? It is so cool playing every team in the conference every year just like it was in the old B8 days.
I'm taking WVU -2.5. Not because I think Iowa State isn't legit (they are) but Morgantown is a tough place to play and ISU isn't going to sneak up on any one. I think a FG.

Kind of agree here. They are playing well but their offense really struggled in that TCU game and they are going to have to score against WVU. Think it will be tight but tough place to play after an emotional home win.
I dont think Grier is even the third best qb in that league...Baker and the cowboys have 2 that i believe are far better... but that is saying alot cause the Big12 has a ton of QBs
Iowa State has typically struggled against West Virginia, particularly at their place. If they can’t win this game, it will definitely be close – not a blowout like other weak ass teams we know.
I believe the game is on at the same time the Huskers play. It will be very tempting to not watch more of the Iowa State game, as it is fun to watch well coached and motivated players with lesser talent perform to the highest level.
WVU has lost two games this season at home (opener vs. VA Tech, last week vs. Okie State).
ISU's last win in this one was during Paul Rhoads era, in a 52-44 3OT win to close out the 2013 season.
