Think so. He's getting worn out though.
Being reported as sustained a turf toe injury. The kid had speed to burn, huge loss for them. Too bad we lack a QB that can make just basic throws.
Feel bad for him. Don’t feel bad for Iowa.
If true that's tough. Hope he heals up fast. Injuries suck.
This was 100% my thought when I opened this thread. Totally thought it was about their punter.

This is the guy that didn't play against NE last year.
His backup was terrible.

He got knocked out early by Washington, his replacement was taken to the house by Palmer.

I personally don’t mind opposing fans coming on here… makes things a little more interesting. At least they care enough to post.
Fundamentals and discipline will show in the IA / NE game… just hope we don’t make it an easy win for them. Like everything else, minimize mistakes and should be close/competitive to the finish.
Also, everyone has injuries. We’re likely sitting better backups that are underclassmen to save eligibility, so IA has that going for them.
Houston Nutt once said in an interview, it’s not the 1’s that separate the best teams—everyone has good players—it’s the 2’s and 3’s that make the biggest difference throughout the season. He was talking about Bama at the time
He’s wrong. Iowa fan’s thought targeting should have been called against Washington. De Jean started, but he was out of the game soon after.
So he played, got worked over, faked an injury to avoid getting worked over more.
Just like their QB did in that game.

Honestly can't remember.
But his replacement was a true freshman. Got burnt deep for like a 80 some yard pass first play.
Kept getting burned bad so he needed replaced.
Once again, Iowa wins if he didn't get injured.
If only Iowa could have chosen to have someone else cover Palmer. It's just too bad they didn't also have another 3rd round draft pick at CB on the field they could have used for that.

Funny they never let their darling Riley Moss cover Palmer either. Probably would have effected his draft stock to get torched like that.
This looks like a fun game to play… if he didn’t get injured, and Zavier Betts didn’t quit, Nebraska wins going away. And if you wanna throw another player in there as the reason Iowa didn’t win, I will counter that with one of our other missing players as well. You look like an idiot.
It’s a shame… that iowa fans are so rock fvcking stupid that it makes it impossible to even feel sorry for a kid that just had a tough injury. If was an iowa player I would so ashamed of my trashy low IQ fans. Smh
