A solid developmental program that sends players to the next level and holds true to it's culture and values. They play defense and win in special teams. They win 8-9 games a year and occasionally get 10. Truth is in today's game of NIL and buying players I'm ok with that. Look at tOSU. They lost today with a 20mill dollar roster LOL.

LOL nowhere did I say we were good. It was ATROCIOUS on offense. As bad a game as I've ever seen. However, in Tim Lester's defense he inherited a truly pathetic offense from clown Brian Ferentz, who KF as a complete dumba$$ doubled down to be a historically bad OC. Iowa won like they usually win. Minimize mistakes, take care of the football, play good defense, and special teams. They don't stray from that formula. And more often than not it works.
My hope for next year is Lester actually gets his own players into his system and we improve offensively. We'll see.

Believe me, as an Iowa fan, I want Ferentz gone. Beating Nebraska 10 of 11 or whatever it is now, isn’t what I call a big accomplishment. He constantly makes excuses for his talent and style of play - please move on. I’d much prefer getting back to the Hayden Fry brashness.

I’d say that Iowa enjoys beating Nebraska regularly, but it shouldn’t be where they set their sights. Ferentz may be happy with 8 wins, but beating lowly Nebraska doesn’t make up for losing to bad ISU, MSU and UCLA teams.
We aren’t content but the fact of the matter is our defense and special teams staff is top tier in the conference. If KF and the new OC can figure out the offense we can compete for an at large playoff spot if we recruit the portal correctly. Our offense went from 132nd in FBS in scoring last year to 55th this year so progress is being made and we started a 5th string walk-on QB the last 2.25 games.
Nebraska isn’t top tier in the conference in anything besides pissing games down their leg.
