Which is why we shouldn't have stopped our game plan in the 2nd half. I get taking a 4 score lead and running clock was the logical plan. But if wed have kept chucking to TP3 it might have gotten ugly for Iowa.

Glad they were able to take some kind of trophy home for the season. They've been through a lot, so that's a nice outcome to cap off a difficult season.
It was actually a typical Nebraska game: get ahead and try to hold on.
Against mediocre competition, it doesn't work: Minnesota, Illinois, Wisconsin, Northwestern, Purdue.

That's what teams sports are all about. I loved seeing that team sports are all about. Set a goal. Make it important. And go out and get it. Mickey did an excellent job getting that team motivated the last couple weeks, especially after the cynics said that the team was done.
It really is amazing how bad Iowa is and it also goes to show how easy it will be for NU to win games with a good staff.

Exactly. They lose one of their better defenders, and Nebraska went after the replacements.
Nebraska plays without both its starting ILBs and a starting S, yet Iowa still tries to throw the ball against one of the worst run defenses in the Big Ten.

I'm sorry Cooper Dejean got injured, and he was a big loss for the Hawkeyes. But it's hilarious watching their fans cry about him being taken out on a "dirty play."
I had to watch the replay just to see what they are bawling about, and it's completely ridiculous. Washington meets him head-on, and doesn't launch or lead with his helmet. It's just a good, hard, straight-up block that happened to result in someone getting hurt. But cry away, Iowa fans, because your vaunted secondary got owned most of the day.

I seem to remember AM and JoJo not playing against Iowa last year and nobody gave us credit.
