Nebraska had three key 2026 offensive targets in town this weekend, plus 2026 quarterback commit Dayton Raiola on campus for multiple days to help peer recruit. Will have stories throughout the week but wanted to pass along intel from the weekend here:
- First off, credit to Dayton Raiola, he's become really involved as a peer recruiter. He spent a lot of time with top offensive targets and has helped the Huskers become a real contender for top pass-catchers in the Southeast. He's also been helping out with tight end recruiting, as the Huskers are in pursuit of three four-star prospects at the position. Raiola will be back in Lincoln for the spring game weekend and will OV June 20th, a key weekend for top offensive targets this cycle.
- Nebraska quickly emerged as a top contender for Anaheim (Cali.) Servite four-star tight end Luke Sorenson when they offered in the winter. Despite a flood of national interest, the offer from the Huskers resonated and interest has only grown from both sides since then. He visited for the first time this weekend to get a feel for the program before his official visit on June 20th. The facilities, coaching staff and offense made a strong impression, he's become a priority for Dana Holgorsen and Marcus Satterfield. Huskers are battling Miami, USC, UCLA, Florida and Texas A&M but I get the read this is going to come down to the Huskers, Hurricanes and Trojans.
- This was the first visit for Powder Springs (Ga.) McEachern four-star wide reciever Nalin Scott. I've gotten the read he's still getting a feel for his recruitment, potentially a good thing for Nebraska, who got involved in January and has quickly surged. Georgia, Auburn, Clemson, Arizona State and Michigan are the other schools to know. Daikiel Shorts has been in regular contact since offering and built a strong enough relationship thus far to get Scott in town for a visit on his own dime. His weekend went well enough the Huskers are now in position to get him back for an official visit. The goal of this weekend for Nebraska was to earn staying power and they've done that.
- Nebraska is already scheduled to get Carrollton (Ga.) four-star wide receiver Ryan Mosley back on campus for an official visit in June, but he spent the weekend in Lincoln to get a better feel for the program. Daikiel Shorts and Jamar Mozee got Nebraska in the mix in January, got him in town for Junior Day in Feb. and have the Huskers near the top of his list now, battling Georgia, South Carolina and Texas A&M.
I'll have stories on these guys throughout the week and likely more expanded intel from the weekend through the coming days. If you haven't already, read my story on four-star EDGE flip target Kamron Wilson, here and2027 four-star OT Cameron Wagner
