Insane Fact - Puts Things In Perspective

I'm a baseball guy and I love the way smart teams "exploit inefficiencies" i.e. do something different than what everyone else is doing. There are very few teams that are truly committed to a run first mentality. I question whether Nebraska is ever really going to be successful doing the same thing as everyone else. Maybe.

We've been trying for 20 something years. That's a big enough sample size for me.

With Kansas getting to 6 wins....Nebraska is the only P5 football team to not make a bowl game since 2017. The only one.

Firing Solich had a lot to do with the perspective of the Media towards him as well as his record.

I recall Frank Jumping up and down on the sidelines during a game and an announcer saying “ Look at little Frankie “ I thought to myself, oh my …not good

You know what's really scary? We brought Frost in here to replace Riley, and Frost's best year was about the same as Riley's worst year. Riley actually had us in a bowl game 2 of 3 years. Riley beat Michigan State towards the end of a season when they were ranked #6 and barely lost to Iowa when they were #3. Riley actually won a bowl game. That's how low we are now.

Ugggg, lost a lot on that bowl game vs UCLA!

Iowa fans are so odd...I coached with one and he was awesome and but he always like "Yeah, we are pretty happy with just making bowl games and beating ISU"

Kurt found that out pretty fast and so did that AD...and they parlayed it into millions.

My guess...if the AD ever got canned...he would be "working" for that foundation that Kurt has the next day.

Those two have been robbing from Iowa for 20 years.

North Dakota, Rutgers, and Indiana

And these teams have pulse? Indiana won there first 3 (now 3-5) games and have been clubbed like baby seal since. Rutgers also had success in there first 3 games , beat Indiana now 4-3) and we beat them 14-13 in a game that was gifted to us.
