Add in NIL deals (a potential advantage we have, relatively), and it all needs to come together fast to build a team for 2023.
1. Transfer portal opens 12/5/22 for 45 days through 1/18/23. Players entering early may give themselves the most options. Plus dead period runs 12/19-1/12. Gonna be a wild west sh*t storm of movement nationally.
2. Early signing day 12/21/22. This is later than most years, so we’re lucky on that front.
Players also now get second official visits when there’s a coaching change. That’s another bonus.
3. Contact period 11/28/22-12/17/22 (up to 6 in-person visits).
4. Dead period 12/18/22-1/12/23. And again 1/30/23-2/28/23.
5. National Signing Day 2/1/23.
