Rhule deserves to be fired, he probably wont but he would have had 10 tries to get to a 6th win and failed. 6-6 with a bowl and some staff changes would keep him safe but have some well deserved heat.
Something needs to change on the defensive side also.He signed an 8 year contract, he's not getting fired anytime soon, unless we have like a 2-10 type season next year. But hopefully he brings in an entirely new offensive staff next season.
Couldn't last year so I doubt it.Can we make a bowl with 5 wins?
Yeah its called new dudes. And more of a 4 man front in the big. Our second level is bad. and the third isn't great either.Something needs to change on the defensive side also.
In other words, after year 2, there needs to be changes in all three phases of the game in order to be competitive. That's a strong indictment against a CEO head coach like Rhule.Yeah its called new dudes. And more of a 4 man front in the big. Our second level is bad. and the third isn't great either.
Yes. This is indeed an indictment if, due to your mismanagement in years 1 and 2 you are needing to start over in year 3In other words, after year 2, there needs to be changes in all three phases of the game in order to be competitive. That's a strong indictment against a CEO head coach like Rhule.
Am I interpreting this right? Are you saying not only Foley and Satterfield, but possibly TW needs to go? If that’s the case I don’t understand why Rhule is such a prized possession. Some of you act like that 54 million is coming out of your own pocket.Yes. This is indeed an indictment if, due to your mismanagement in years 1 and 2 you are needing to start over in year 3
I probably won't. Got more important stuff to do and selling my ticketsI am leaning towards not watching another NU game until they qualify for a bowl. Watching for the last 7+ years has not helped them or me. I woke up in the middle of the night last night and couldn't go back to sleep because I am so disgusted with the staff and team. I would be happier if NU just gave up football then watching this annual fall shit show.
No the reset is on the CEO - Rhule.Am I interpreting this right? Are you saying not only Foley and Satterfield, but possibly TW needs to go? If that’s the case I don’t understand why Rhule is such a prized possession. Some of you act like that 54 million is coming out of your own pocket.
State mottoCan we make a bowl with 5 wins?
It’ll be interesting if TW will adopt a more conventional 4-3 defense. I think the days of running a 3-4 or 3-3-5 will be done once Ty and Nash leave. No the reset is on the CEO - Rhule.
In regards to TW - jury is out. Our LBs are grossly undersized for this league. I am very very concerned about the defense next year. We lose a lot of veteran guys on what appears to be a defense that has regressed from last year
Plus we got just got abused by an offense this 3-3-5 was supposed to be built to slow down
The guy who gave Rhule an 8-year contract loves Dear ol' Nebraska U more than life itself, and by gawd they're both in it for the long haul.
Doesn't appear we've got anyone beefy to replace them. It’ll be interesting if TW will adopt a more conventional 4-3 defense. I think the days of running a 3-4 or 3-3-5 will be done once Ty and Nash leave.
And lbs slow to bootNo the reset is on the CEO - Rhule.

Rhule was trying to squeeze every last dollar from his buyout in Carolina. That’s why his contract is backloaded with an increasing salary each year.Rhule's agent ran circles around Trev. If I'm not mistaken, the 8th year would be funded by cutting the Wrasslin' Team.
THANK YOU!Am I interpreting this right? Are you saying not only Foley and Satterfield, but possibly TW needs to go? If that’s the case I don’t understand why Rhule is such a prized possession. Some of you act like that 54 million is coming out of your own pocket.
As he should. Take all you can, when you can.Rhule was trying to squeeze every last dollar from his buyout in Carolina. That’s why his contract is backloaded with an increasing salary each year.
If he does make it to the later years of his contract, he’d be a relative bargain compared to what coaches will be payed by then.As he should. Take all you can, when you can.
Well not saying posters on here, but plenty of us contribute more than what you think and I’m not just talking about season ticket owners who also have to pay for their seats not just the price of the ticket…Am I interpreting this right? The secondary might have played the worst game in recent Husker history. And let's be honest, that means it might have been the worst game in all of Husker history. Didn't Hill and Wright give up something like 13 of 15 completions with one drop for 100+ yards? And those are our best guys? The guys playing deep single high safety missed more tackles than they made.Yeah its called new dudes. And more of a 4 man front in the big. Our second level is bad. and the third isn't great either.

I stood in practice and thought to myself, how are these guys going to cover Big 10 receivers? We are very small on the backend. A lot of them look like they should have been playing in TO's wingback position. The secondary might have played the worst game in recent Husker history. What's weird is husker receivers get covered by smaller dbs all the time yet dont get much separation.I stood in practice and thought to myself, how are these guys going to cover Big 10 receivers? The Nebraska way is the first year that shows any promise you re-up his contract give him a huge buyout again. If he does make it to the later years of his contract, he’d be a relative bargain compared to what coaches will be payed by then.
And some of the throws were put in a spot where the DB could do nothing. The secondary might have played the worst game in recent Husker history. Thanks for bringing that up and I wanted to comment on this a long time ago. That qb was bleeding hard that last drive of the half. I guess they don't make them leave the game for bleeding anymore??And some of the throws were put in a spot where the DB could do nothing.
Of course, NU did hurt their QB and now he had surgery and is out for awhile.
The backup torched usThanks for bringing that up and I wanted to comment on this a long time ago. That qb was bleeding hard that last drive of the half. I guess they don't make them leave the game for bleeding anymore??
They must have not seen but he should have been yanked. Thanks for bringing that up and I wanted to comment on this a long time ago. That qb was bleeding hard that last drive of the half. I guess they don't make them leave the game for bleeding anymore??
Yeah that backup was good. Or, at least he was super good against NU.The backup torched us
Indiana playing with their backup outscored us 28-0
If you lose sleep over a college football team, please go touch grass. Enjoy life.I am leaning towards not watching another NU game until they qualify for a bowl.
