I wonder how many people at OU are constantly screaming "bring back the wishbone! Bring back Switzer's offense! We won't win another title until we do!"???
Of course there are probably almost zero who say that. Why? Well, because OU has been very successful running Stoops's offense.
My point? Langsdorf's offensive style is just fine. He has a sophisticated knowledge of offenses and defenses. It can lead us to championships. But like any offense it needs the proper athletes.
So can we stop the nostalgia wagon for Osborne's offense? Not even Scott Frost runs Osborne's offense. A version of it perhaps. But not the same
