I think Dylan has a strong arm

Well we did hit on Suh!

I think he will be a really good player for us. He is coming in with high expectations, but honestly if he can play well enough to get us to a bowl game most people will be satisfied for the moment. Unfortunately and fortunately, no one with any sense believes that he will lead us to a championship in his time here. The team just simply isn't there yet. But hopefully his presence will lead to bigger things down the road, and get the ball rolling for the next decade.
I don't know about a championship because the conference is really going to be competitive with the additions BUT I also don't think we're very far off from being competitive ourselves. Defense was decent last season and, IMO, we were a QB away from being decent on offense.

You never know… I gotta believe that with Raiola at QB working over the recruits, and with the NIL work we seem to be doing, recruiting will improve, maybe significantly.

It isn’t out of the realm of possibility that we could bring in enough talent to compete for championships.

But then again, I may be one of the ones with no sense.
Im not sure we can go from 5 wins and no bowl games over the last 6 years, to 12+ wins in 2 years (Assuming he leaves after year 2). Especially in a Big 10 that is going to be as tough as this one is going to be.

If he doesn’t transfer out, he will be in Nebraska a minimum of 3 years. 3 years to transform the roster is doable. 75 players over 2 years so far…

I thought they could become draft able after year 2. Ok 3 years then.

Yeah, it is three years… The only sophomores who have been drafted in the past are red shirts sophomores. It’s an NFL rule. Three years removed from high school…

Loser mentality

Loser mentality
Loser or realistic? Each time we have gotten a new head coach or a high quality player this place goes all in on "We're going to be great again." Huzahhhhh!

Now that our conference has gotten tougher and we have 2 decades of mediocrity....You say I have a loser mentality because I think that we probably won't win a championship in the next 3 years? 🤦‍♂️

This O line class looks really good but it will take a while to get them ready. Year two for Raiola might be interesting.

We don’t know what this conference will look like in 2-3 years. Michigan has some turmoil to deal with. They losing a ton of talent. OSU has some QB questions. Washington will probably struggle next fall. Lots of change for most teams.

The goal should be to win the conference but the expanded playoffs still allow for a successful season without a conference championship.

Obviously would change with a different schedule but last year the Big 10 would have had 5 teams in the playoffs. You get to the playoffs and hope to catch a break, and then use that momentum to enhance recruiting.

As usual points can be made from either side. Kid is arguably the No. 1 prospect in the country and it shows on tape. He will light it up here.

He will also struggle at times.

Enjoy the ride

Maybe he returns for his fourth year with unfinished business on his mind.
If he has the incredible start to the his career that everyone is hoping for ...His unfinished business will be signing for 8 digits and playing in the NFL after his junior year.
