I now work for the snaggleteefs - ask me anything

Laughing ....Put me back on ignore padre…at least until you learn how to properly quote a post.

Also, if you could do me a solid…please enlighten me on what facilitated you opening this post? I mean considering you having me on ignore and all, you couldn’t partake in its contents...what urged you to unignore? (simple research so if I want to coax other snowflakes into a particular thread).

Thanks in advance.

My new employer as of 2/4/2019: a 35-year-old UK industrial conglomerate.

My new title: "Director of U.S. Operations"

I shit you not.
digtbk2.gif

I've consistently preached on RSS the value of having a top-flight recruiter in your corner. This is one more example.

Now onto the important stuff. I'm looking for three top-flight sales tards - one on the east coast, one in the midwest, and one on the west coast.

What I'm Looking For:

Guys (or gals) who can literally blow up a territory. Someone who does not need a lot of handholding. I will show you how to succeed - I am looking for someone who takes the initiative to rip their territories apart. We'll be selling heavy equipment with six-figure price tags. If you know how to sell to CEOs, I want to talk to you.

What I'm Offering In Return:

Starting salary of $75,000/year, with a commission plan that takes you to $135,000 quota in Year One.
Company Car.
Company Credit Cards covering your travel and entertainment expenses.
European-style benefit plans (fully paid for health plan, fully paid for short- and long-term disability, etc..)

I am more interested in winners than resumes. If you are interested, send me a PM explaining why you'd be a good fit for one of these positions (or better yet, have your headhunter call me).

TIA.

You get what you pay for. That is a worthless compensation package for a good salesman......

Agreed.

You can make the money he’s listing selling office furniture in any good sized town or city without all the hassle of traveling.

Problem is, you’re taking this as a serious and factual post. Would be really interesting/entertainering if Gary were to share any the names of the poor saps that actually PMed him regarding this fictional position.

What’s also humorous in this thread are those posters who try and make excuses, somehow claiming that this is just a ruse by Gary.

Having seen and read enough of his posts, he appears to be someone in need of professional help.

So no links?… got it.

So how are those books sales going? Don’t forget, it’s all public...I can pull both the physical and digital numbers in about three minutes. Happy to post them for you if you’re not aware.

Hey, if that's what'll help prop up your ego, go right ahead. RollingLaugh

Based upon the meager checks we get each month, I'm guessing they're right about even with averages for unknown writers publishing a first novel with a small indie publisher (whose marketing efforts come nowhere near what they promised up front). I.e., they're not paying any bills. But it's an experience I wouldn't trade for a million bucks. And it's a pretty kick-ass mystery novel too.*

You've also made cracks about my legal career--completely out of the blue. Please feel free to post links to the state and federal appeals I handled over the years. One of the first I argued in Denver, Pelt v. Utah, 104 F.3d 1534 (10th Cir. 1996), remains a highlight. (The district court decision that paved the way--finally--for the ultimate $31 Million settlement is at 611 F. Supp. 2d 1267 (D. Utah 2009).) One of the last I argued (twice) before the state supremes, State v. Houston, 215 UT 36, remains one of the most disappointing.

How did Tricare become an example of socialized medicine. It isn’t. It is the Dollar General of health insurance.

Socialized healthcare gets a lot of crap, but it does exactly what people here want. It keeps drug rates lower and provides good leathcare for all. So much so that every Western European county has longer life expectancies than the US.

Is it perfect no, but neither is our model.

Is this really a troll, or simply the postings of someone who is unhinged?

I really don't know but my level of being entertained is the same.

SIDE NOTE: I will say I often wonder if some of the more colorful "handles" on RSS are really @Sean Callahan or some of his buddies using burner accounts to generate interest and clicks on these hallowed grounds. I am partly sure that is not the case but it wouldn't surprise me if it was true. Think about it, wouldn't that be a great way to garner interest in a very lucrative endeavor? I am sure some of us are unknowing accomplices and maybe @SarasotaHusker is or isn't a troll but generating clicks on RSS is probably pretty important.

Somebody go a head and attach the MIND BLOWN gif to my post....

It is funny how over the years Sarasota posts have gone from being taken at face value by most people to getting eyerolls from 90% of RSS.

I remember back in the day reading some truly out-there posts and most of the replies being like "LOL your the man Gary!! You banged Kelly Clarkson and she took a shit in your shower? Classic AND believable!!"

Yeah, like you’re not acutely aware of your own to book sales.

Allow me to help you out. Looks like a grand total of 37 copies sold...most in the Nebraska, Florida, and Utah. Let me guess...all states in which you have friends, family, and colleagues (and a few suckers on RSS). I’m sure those five* reviews weren’t family and friends though. Laughing

I'm selling US Naval secrets to China, and I'm looking for a few Huskerinos who aren't afraid to maybe go to prison to make some good money. You don't get a credit card, or a company car, but you will get bundles of hundred dollar bills at various drop locations throughout the lower 48. Also probably an FBI tail from time to time, but hey.

Shoot me a DM if you're not a pussy. Totally serious here, so no jokers.
Daddio, I'm all N. what could possibly go wrong?

You devote even more time to being a unnecessarily combative egomaniac on a college recruiting website than OP. This place would be a lot better without your incessant auto-fellatio and Aspergian outbursts polluting every single thread.

Nothing better than claiming you are right, cut and dry, when constantly engaging in highly complex topics that have a lot of caveats and nuance.

Ah. Do you feel better now?

Actually, I didn't have a clue about sales. The publisher had promised to send monthly accountings, but, like most of its promises, it hasn't delivered. We'd probably have been better off shopping around some more or taking the leap into self publishing.

But hey, thanks for the info!

Friends and family that I know of have purchased (or been gifted) directly from the few dozen the publisher comped us up front.

I suspect all of those Lincoln sales happened during the book signing/reading at Francie & Finch--a fantastic indie shop downtown for those Lincolnites interested in such things--the night before the Minnesota game. They served wine and we had an excellent time. Same for Florida sales at the San Marco Bookstore in Jax and The Book Loft in Fernandina Beach, two more wonderful indies.

I wonder if the Utah sales had something to do with the very nice blurb they included with others in the U of U alumni magazine: https://continuum.utah.edu/departments/alum-news-winter18/
It begins, "Pace studied behavioral health and management at the U, so naturally, he became a writer."

It's an interesting business I knew nothing about before personally jumping in. And as I already said, I wouldn't trade the experience for a million bucks.

Hey, let us know when your next Sunday Times best seller's release is scheduled! tia

Now that's there is pretty funny.

I too had a bunch of time on my hand, and just to refresh memories, Gary posted a thread about getting a traffic violation. He was going to contest the tickets in court, since he was virtually undefeated in the courtroom. To lay claim to the incident, he posted the video cam from the ticketing officer (where the video announced his name, date of birth, address, drivers license number, etc). He also invited all the big hitters to the court date so they could watch, listen and learn from the Gar. He provided the court date, location etc.

Well he "claimed" to walk away with another court victory paying a fraction of the violations. A simple traffic court case search revealed that he actually paid 2X the initial costs of the tickets when you add in the court fees, etc he had to pay in addition to the cost of the original tickets. While the story itself was very, very entertaining, the facts are the facts, and yet another example of what he said, isn't actually what happened

I always wondered what happened there. Thanks for the update LOL.

I'm not sure how that has any bearing on the discussion, as it has 0 impact on coverage or customer service.

Regardless, I already gave you more than enough information to know that answer.

No you didn't. But thanks for playing. It bears on the conversation because it'd help me understand whether I'm dealing with a person with firsthand experience or some dude who's getting secondhand info from someone else because some of what you're posting reads like bullshit.
