can't disagree with that list at all!!!

BUT since you asked...my top 5 ever:
-Stu Lantz
Tyron Lue
Erick Strickland
Eric Piatkowski
Dave Hoppen
This is an excellent list which would entail success also at the professional level. Stu Lantz is the greatest of all the Husker bballers and would never have made it to Lincoln if not for his high school teammate Ben Gregory coming to Lincoln to be a running back for Bob Devaney. Stu Lantz fell into Cipriano's lap. Also Stu was a heck of a color broadcaster for years with Chic Hearn on the Laker TV Network. Excellent human being and terrific athlete.

1) Stu Lantz
2) Dave Hoppen
3) Tyronn Lue
4) Jerry Fort
5) Tie - Andre Smith & Eric Piatkowski

I could be convinced that Venson Hamilton deserves to be on the list. Unfortunately, his career coincided with me being on the east coast for most of that time. Didn't have iPhone, streaming, B1G channel, or radio that broadcast that far.

My list since I've started following.

1. Pike
2. Lue
3. Maric
4. Cookie
5. Brice
6. Strickland
7. Hamilton
8. KT
9. Shields
10. Roby
11. Boone
12. Pettaway
13. Palmer
14. Anderson

Hoppen was one of the best, no doubt, but the AI facts are somewhat off in saying he led NU to its first tourney appearance. Hoppen hurt his knee in the first half of the conference schedule and was lost for the year. The team played the the bulk of the conference schedule, conference tourney and ncaa tourney games without Hoppen.

This is the best Husker BBall thread I've read in many years. Some good memories in here.

Stu Lantz... did he play with the Harlem Globetrotters for a number of years... or who might I be thinking of?

Brice is probably top 3 all time since I started watching (Piatkowski era). We are incredibly lucky to have had Keisei and Brice around the past few years as they have been the most exciting athletes to watch from any sport in the state (outside Bud Crawford of course).

Keisei and Brice are probably the two most skilled offensive basketball players I have seen at NU. You can't argue with Piatkowski's decade-plus NBA run as a shooter, but his offensive college stats are very similar to these guys. Brice's numbers this year are very good for a guy opposing teams are keying in on: 47% FG, 36% 3P 90% FT. Keisei put up a similar line his last two seasons.

Brice has the very rare trifecta of being able to get to the rim and finish, one of the strongest midrange shots I have ever seen at NU, and the ability to shoot the 3. He has also hit several clutch shots this season. At 6'7" he is physically more talented than many of the other guards people are listing.

I saw somebody say James Palmer was better. You better go back and look at Palmer's numbers lol. That's a joke take.

Nice thought out list. I’ll give you that , might not agree on the order.

Need to have Hoppen some where.

Before my time. I remember hearing Rich King on the radio but I can't recall actually watching him play, so the list starts with Pike.

I’m older but Tom Baack and Tom Scanlebury along with Stu Lantz would also have to in consideration..
