I’ll say this about Sims …

Some DBs can’t catch. FIFY
I know you can't help but detract our starting QB and by far best player on offense due to your having pitted your own personal credibility against his success for the past 2.5 years

but you should try

it's a really bad look for someone who fancies themselves worth listening to

Kong.. HH doesnt throw a good ball.. period.. you cant defend that. He should have had 3 or maybe 4 picks last night. N should have won big last night had he hit several throws.. he stares down recievers and gets too many balls knocked down at LOS because of his throwing motion. So much to work on. I feel like you feel the need to be right so bad you want to build him up to be more than he is.. please just lay off everyone giving criticism of his play.. its no different than any opinion you have of others. Funny you trash AG but HH is who you hitched your wagon to and is off limits for everyone else? I believe he does a lot of good things out there especially just getting his feet under him,. just be glad we are getting some wins against teams we should beat which we havent had in in years.

HH might not throw a great ball but our program won lots of conference titles behind QBs that didn’t throw a great ball.

Running the ball, controlling the clock, and playing great defense has always been the recipe for success with our program

Not sure about those complimentary posts. I'm throwing the challenge flag. I just scrolled through the 59 posts you made last night in the game threads and I can find one complimentary post but it was clearly a backhanded compliment because you combined it with a shot about how he doesn't throw spirals. Go link a purely complimentary post and I'll say I was wrong. In fact, I hope I'm wrong because HH is playing hard and winning games. After watching UT/OK I dearly want a better QB but for right now we've got HH.

It as a fact that his wobbly passes were affected more by the wind. My posts were factual. I didn’t beat him up over the INT and explained why he made it. I complimented him on his runs. I supported him on the handoff fumble by Johnson. I’m rational and logical in my support for our team.

the fact you won't even admit this post from the spring game was wrong is so funny to me

if you're trying to prove something by standing by it, you're failing miserably

HH and Torrez aren’t going to play next fall so what does it matter if they get hurt?

At that we still had Casey Thompson, Smothers and Jeff Sims. It seemed illogical to think Haarberg was going to jump all of those guys on the depth chart. In addition other than one option run Haarberg didn’t look good in the spring game. Obviously things changed when Thompson and Smothers left, Sims got injured and Purdy had lingering injuries. He’s got his chance and I want him to do well

"I was wrong"

what's "logical" to you isn't the absolute truth.

you were also convinced purdy had the inside track to the backup role this entire time, as well, which, based on his play last year was about the most illogical stance anyone has ever taken about anything in human history.

you even suggested you'd put purdy in @CU just this season. that's "logical"?

Casey Thompson was injured and Smothers is a turnover machine much like Sims. It is very possible he could have passed all of them, except maybe a healthy Casey Thompson.
