Dude is there for the team. He was engaged anytime the camera was around him. He was supportive to HH and seemed genuinely happy the team was moving the ball. No doubt he wants to be out there but seeing him support HH and the team the way he does … he’s a good teammate and leader.

Yes, I noticed that as well.

Good to see his positivity, however he is likely the highest paid player on the team so he should be smiling😀

You have Taysom Hill and Jameis Winston as your QBs.

Taysom is getting you wins against shit opponents, but there is a very short ceiling.

While Jameis has his serious flaws, he gives you the opportunity to beat as good or even better teams.

Who are you starting?
Where is the evidence that “Jamies” gives opportunity to beat better teams? He sure had 2 chances already and didn’t do it.

The only thing Sims and Jamies have in common are they both play QB, are black, and throw a lot of picks

Winston is a gun slinger. In 2019 lead the NFL in throwing for 5k. Doubt anyone is ever going to mistake Winston and Sims style unless your taking color of skin or turning the ball over a lot. seriously dude

I’d say both Sims and HH are more like Hill but HH wins games. So in that case, I’ll go with the one that wins games

He seems incredibly relieved to not be playing

Very comfortable on the bench

Also - anyone likening him to a heisman trophy winner needs his head examined

You keep eluding to this. What makes you say this?
The QB competition needs to be elevated this week. HH wasn't accurate and it was painful. He wasn't responsible for all the stupid penalties and two of the fumbles were on the running backs, but he was wildly inaccurate. What's the story on Purdy?

Pure delusional fantasy. Seriously, did you watch the first two games of the season?

It seems as if both QBs throw into coverage and drop shotgun snaps. The difference is one QBs bad plays haven't led to many turnovers yet.
Haarberg should have had 2 more INTs last night. Then the batted pass was going to be picked had it not got knocked down. He was very lucky.

That said, Haarberg’s running ability gives him an edge there. Yeah Sims throws a prettier ball but his field vision and decision making are lacking. Both QBs have their flaws but Haarberg probably needs to stay the starter.

The Jeff Sims fan club ignores the fact that maybe just maybe Jeff wants a year on the sidelines to develop. He has a RS to use: I think he came to Lincoln thinking this was a very big possibility with CT still here. I just hate he took a single snap in the La Tech game cause it wasted a game but that’s not the point here. The best thing for Jeff is to take a year off without any pressure and to develop.

Kong as you know this team needs a leader. We lack talent at the skill position. So we need the kind of dude that makes them believe. That’s what is best for this team. Guys on this board either underestimate leadership or don’t realize it. But week in week out, the same dam trend happens. The naysayers about HH hide during a win. They come out slowly as the days pass after the game and closer to the end of the week have built up Sims to be the best QB in the world. Then we do it over again the next week.

Let Jeff develop. Give him a chance to develop and be a great QB. Don’t think any of us would mind.

Also find it quite ironic that a lot of the guys crying for sims were the same that want to give Rhule a pass this season to develop. Well let him develop Jeff. Let’s ride with the one dude who is 3-1. You no longer have the card that “HH hasn’t beat a P5 team”. This is a punt year right? So winning is just a bonus

People here hate me so much they’d rather see the team fail than see me proven correct

Sims redshirting was something I had thought of. It’s too bad Purdy didn’t have his helmet when Sims ran out there for one play last week or the week before.

Once again you’re lying
Years of Haarberg detracting and Raiola gassing has you in a tough spot

“I was wrong”

This is a fun team to be a fan of if you’re not worried about defending incorrect stances after every win

Had our offense not been so inept in the red zone, Sims could have played the whole 4th qtr last night.
Yeah only reason people on this board like him is because he's from Nebraska. He obviously is a below average passer a poor decision maker and a good runner but he's not a QB

Rational logical analysis of a player without calling him trash or telling him to kill himself like you do is fair game.
“Doesn’t matter if he gets hurt. No chance he plays this fall” is rational, logical analysis during this past spring game?

So rational it’s worth quadrupling down on instead of admitting you were wrong?

Yes

We should earmark this post. Should be gold come late November.
Sims seems like a great person, great teammate and he has the athletic potential to be a great quarterback.

But he led the country in turnovers this year and did it before he came here as well. If that doesn’t get fixed, all he will have is potential. And nobody would start him. Anywhere.

After Haarberg's TD run he was the guy most celebrating with him on the sideline. Genuine excitement and support. Compared to some of the run-home-to-mama prima donnas we've had at QB the last 20 years, I'm thrilled to see it.
