133lber Eric Montoya got a big win against the #2 in the nation, Richardson of Illinois. He got beat by him in the first match of the season, so good to see! There may be some changing of line-up at 141 and 149. Chad Red is currently redshirting, but is making it hard for Manning to keep that label on him. Berger got 2nd, losing in triple overtime, but he won in my eyes as it was very controversial. Studebaker looked better than he did early in the season. Dudley is a stud. Jensen is consistent and looks like he WANTS to be an All-American.

What are our chances of beating PSU and winning the B1G? I live in PSU country and my best friend out here is a HUGE PSU wrestling fan who is always in my face a about how great they are. I really don't give a shit about wrestling but would love it if we could give PSU a run for their money this year.

I think we can give them a run, but Iowa and PSU have a Top 20 wrestler at every weight class. They both will be very tough outs this year. We would have to have a few big upsets to pull it off

That is what I thought. We always seem to be a good wrestling team, but never a great one.

In Wrestling there is the B1G and everyone else.

Cornell and Lehigh are usually pretty good, and so is Oklahoma St. other then that it is randoms and the B1G

In a straight up dual, the Huskers may be hard pressed to knock off Iowa or PSU. I believe they have a better shot in the big ten tournament. We have almost as many in the finals and our weaker weights are better than Iowa, but maybe not PSU. If we have the help of a few other teams pulling some upsets against them, and we avoid upsets, we very well could be in the discussion for a big ten title! Long shot isn't the right word, but it would have to be a perfect storm so to speak. GBR!

In Wrestling there is the B1G and everyone else.

Cornell and Lehigh are usually pretty good, and so is Oklahoma St. other then that it is randoms and the B1G

NC St has climbed into the top ten on a consistent basis. Arizona State is building on the West Coast. Schools like South Dakota State and North Dakota State are starting to turn some heads as well and they just became Div I recently (hell, they may even belong to the Big 12 in wrestling!).

We will give them a run, but they probably beat us by 5 or 6pts. I will be curious to see what Sanderson does as far as the red shirt status of some of his studs.
