We are most definitely a volleyball school now. In fact football may be behind mens BB, womens BB, mens wrestling, baseball, softball, and probably a number of other lower tier sports. Crazy times we are in. Thank god for our VB team.
Will be interesting to see how this plays out. If we get beat you're going to catch hell lol.

Sweep which I've said before in a few different posts. Here's the thing, had Wiscy been in their bracket we wouldn't even be talking about us vs Penn St as Wiscy woulda bounced their asses right out of the tourney in the same humiliting fashion they did during the regular season sweeping them.

Exactly, so the criteria is a sweep, whether that is 25-12, 25-17, 25-15.... or 28-26, 25-23, 25-22... those two scenarios are not the same. A sweep is not an automatic bitchslap. The later is a tightly contested match that just happened to go the right way for one team. And the premise that PSU is not good is laughable... even if the first scenario occurs you can't state that PSU isn't good. The more he speaks the more foolish he looks.
Screw the ranking as us and Wisconsin are the 2 best teams in this conference perod. I don't know why they had as many brain farts as they did this year. The elite level of play on both sides that was displayed on Sunday in our match, Penn St can't match it and has no prayer against our A game. The match in Happy Valley, we left our A game back in Lincoln and shit all over ourselves with too many uncharateristic turnovers, service errors, hitting errors, you name it. Penn St is gonna get what they watched us do to an actual elte team in Wiscnsin which Penn St is not. Our match saw what 2 true elite teams look like, that 2nd match looked like amateurs playing compared to ours.
Here’s the thing. This is so easy to say… Wisconsin woulda bounced them. We will never know, because the tourney game never happened.
If you want to say Wisconsin beat them this year I could counter with Penn State beat Nebraska this year.
The fact is, we will never know what MAY have happened in a tourney matchup this year between Penn state and Wisconsin because it never actually happened.
Maybe Penn State left their A game in Happy Valley when they played Wisconsin…
I think we are the better team, but the better team doesn’t always win.
The mentality of this team is lights out and the attitude they're winning the whole thing. They have now taken things to whole other level which is lethality. Penn State is lethargically slow on the court compared to us and Wisconsin and speed kills. We are by far the better team and people are giving them waaay more credit than is due. There isn't a team out there this year that has more top 10 wins than we do and except for 2 we've swept all of them Stanford, Louisville, Oregon, Wisconsin on their own court but there was a number that were top 10 when we played them which still counts even though they are no longer in the top 10 and the tally with repeats is something like 10.

I 100% agree if we bring our A game no one can beat us.
Unfortunately, a few times this year, we didn’t. I just hope we keep it up through the end.
The position we're in now, those letdowns won't happen and is A game all the way. We have the fewest tourney set losses of the 4 of us left and only ne which we shouldn't have. The ladies got a reality check vs Dayton and Cook was pissed all match and saw it on is face or his body language either while he was sitting or stalking the sildline. We played like hot garbage in those 1st 3 sets even though we won the 1st 2, and after we lost the 3rd which was the last straw as Cook ripped into them and they took a good hard look at themselves. The 4th set however Dayton saw our A game as we humilited and destroyed them mercilously and that was the ladies way of telling them, you're going no futher and going home like it or not. It's like a light switch got turned on. Techncally we shouldn't even have a set loss in the tournamnet. Pitt has 2, Penn St has 3 and Louisville has 4. What's funny is, our side of the bracket is tougher than Pitt's side.
