Just listened to this segment and was really disappointed in Hoppen. I don't know him but as a Husker reporter I feel he might be mediocre. Why? Husker Lance made a simple point. We are historically a Top 10 Blue Blood program. College football is a arms race. We should be in the top Six when it comes to spending on recruiting, facilities, any what ever else they measure. Hoppen mentioned the disadvantage we have for location and recruits. With this logic we have no excuse to be #1 in our spending and efforts to get kids at Nebraska to counter the location disadvantage. Riley and his team ARE doing a unbelievable job!!! But we have a top 20 for everything and I always see us between 15 and 25 on coach salaries, recruiting, etc... Was really impressed with are #6 all time in polls all time. That's where we should try to compete.
