Husker Fans should wait to see why MR is still USC's #1

Not saying it was you, Tim. (I replied b/c you had the Canzano tweet.) However, a number of people said his article was a hatchet job on Riley.

I think where he is wrong here is that he is about five years too late in thinking USC would hire Riley. The best example for us would be Fitzgerald at NW...if he had continued last year's losing slide for five years. A couple years ago he was a hot commodity. Five bad seasons from him and recruiting that continued to slide during that time, would have left most Husker fans wary of Fitz. I believe Haden would have seen the same thing and realized it was a tough sell.

The one similarity between and us and USC, however, is that Riley does allow the AD to feel like there won't be shenanigans...like from previous coaches.

Im not even going to try and list everyone thats visited so far, just last week we had Gebbia (5.9 4 star qb), K Johnson Jr (5.8 4 star wr), O'Brien (5.8 4 star qb), Dismuke (5.8 4 star db), Holmes (5 star CB) and we had a few 5.7 and 5.6 3 star guys there as well, oh and we had 2 4 star Rivals top 150 basketball recruits visites as well and this was this past weekend. Riley and co has a ton of 4 star guys visiting and there is a few 5 star guys in there as well.

Yes a lot of you that don't really know assume, hes not in on elite guys because of some of our commitments we have now and how he recruited at OSU but remember he was never going to get elite guys there, here he has the tools, facilities and the big name program to back his coaching and nice guy attitude. Hes bound to get some of these guys and from i get is KJJ, Gebbia and Hightower are Husker leans, not sure about the lone 5 star Holmes, i THINK hes down to Stanford, USC and the Huskers. Hopefully USC's coach being fired will knock them out of it.

You should mention further that Holmes is the #11 overall prospect in the country for his class. He's a big time prospect. People that aren't following recruiting are missing the boat on Riley as he's making ways with tons of studs. He'll miss on a bunch, but land several, and that's all it takes to get this program rolling again.

I didn't ask for your assumptions. I asked for a list because I wanted to see who has and will be visiting.

My suggestion, then, is to say that. Previously, you said we weren't bringing in any high profile recruits. When they were pointed out, you come back with one line, saying show me the lists. Guess I took it to mean you weren't buying it. Wrong assumption on my part, presumably, but that's how I took it.

My exact words were 'who are these big time recruits that are visiting?' If someone provided a list I was going to judge off of that. Would probably be easier with a rivals subscription

My bad... I'm pretty sure that you have been more critical of the hire, and assumed (again, wrongly) that you weren't genuinely seeking a list, but instead claiming we had no big time recruits visiting. My apologies...

Brotha thats the only way to get that list is being a paying member of rivals, espn recruiting, Huskers 24/7 or Big Red Report. Those list are "privileged" info lol. But the names i point out just just for one single weekend ought to calm your worries. Its impossible to name all the elite recruits we had in already and whos to comes in weeks and year to come. A lot of these guys are last second additions.

Trust me though, we are in on a ton of big time recruits that Bo never was in on or had a shot at. To be honest, i wish we were in on a few more DEs, DTs and LB big time recruits because thats our biggest needs imo anyways. Any elite DEs and LBs would come here and play right away. Of course QB is the BIGGEST need but we are looking very good with O'Brien and the way it looks Gebbia, those 2 alone if they pan out will turn thise offense completely around.

If recruiting turns out to be good, I think we overcome some of these mistakes. And maybe, the coaching improves as well. That's fair. WIth how the roster currently looks, what we have waiting in the wings and a couple good recruiting classes, I think 2017 and probably even 2018 is where we start to feel good again.

some of you guys can't help yourself when it comes to Riley. yes it sucks being 2-4 but oh well, it is what it is. Riley is getting big time recruits in campus and should land some of them, lost all his game by under 6 points or less, results are coming. just face it, just because you guys aren't big on OUR coach right now doesn't mean ever other team, AD, player and fan base thinks the same way. Riley can coach and will get this team going right soon enough and when he does, God I will gladly remind some of you guys that jumped "The fire him" ship WAY TO DAM EARLY, After 6 games? My God what's wrong with some of you?

That's because you have sense, unlike the slime that is stinking this place up. The system has changed, there will be glitches here and there. I wish the idiots would understand that.
