I think where he is wrong here is that he is about five years too late in thinking USC would hire Riley. The best example for us would be Fitzgerald at NW...if he had continued last year's losing slide for five years. A couple years ago he was a hot commodity. Five bad seasons from him and recruiting that continued to slide during that time, would have left most Husker fans wary of Fitz. I believe Haden would have seen the same thing and realized it was a tough sell.
The one similarity between and us and USC, however, is that Riley does allow the AD to feel like there won't be shenanigans...like from previous coaches.
