Husker Bball vs Iowa

Had to miss the game because of another dinner with a group of friends that have this big dinner every year around this time and everyone wanted to watch the Cheez it football game …

Someone did inform me that Hoieberg boys were blowing out the Herky’s..

Recorded the game and will watch it sometime this week..

As a season ticket holder all the way back to 1985, I was in attendance as usual. I noticed a few things.

1. May have been the smallest amount of Iowa fans I've ever seen at Pinnacle, which surprised me since the student section was sold separately for this game. Of course, they had nothing to cheer about so that kept them pretty quiet.

2. We completely outplayed and outhustled them. Usually teams do that to us. Reminded me a lot of the Creighton game from 3 weeks ago. Fun to watch. So much different from last year's "I'm only here to pad my draft status" team.

3. Based on last night only as I haven't watched Iowa this year, only Murray and Rebraco could play for us. Usually our roster is full of those types. Not sure having two of your sons on the floor is a good idea for the rest of the roster. Reminds of the old Pelini/Cotton offensive lines. Were there really open tryouts for these minutes?

Patrick McCaffery is a solid player - he just didn't have a good game last night. And just like Murray, he didn't see the ball nearly enough as Iowa's crappy players kept jacking up terrible shots.

Connor McCaffery is awful, and spends way too much time and energy pissing and moaning at the officials.

All true, but I would give the Nebraska defense some credit for forcing their crappy players to take shots. They got deep in the shot clock more than they'd like so someone has to jack one up.

Dont normally have a chance to go to these games. Tickets usually expensive? Or where is best place to buy them?
It's possible that the cheap seats you saw empty are 'owned' by season ticket holders that didn't show up. Or people that moved down to closer seats. I haven't used my five tickets for two years. This year I finally donated them to Teammates.

Oops. Replied to the wrong post.

Your best bet, cheapest, is out in front before the game. Its not like they are in high demand and a good price can be had.
Or you can simply go inside the ticket office but I went there once and I was ripped off. When I got to the booth I asked for the cheap seats and was told they were sold out so I have to buy the more expensive ones. When I got in the cheap seats were all but empty. I won't do business with crooks. That was pre Alberts so I don't know if they still pull this scam.

Yes our ineptitude opened the door for these nut jobs. But if you run over to another teams message board to talk shit day after day your are an asshole.

Lay off he’s a good guy from Iowa
