Husker basketball

Lots of people were telling posters how White was not one of the best players and that it was a good thing he left...I thought that was funny!

those are 2 different topics. White was one of the best players on the team. Losing White may not have any effect on the W/L record.

White being on this roster doesn't necessarily bring the number of wins commensurate to his talent level.

White is a better talent than Shields was, Shields loss will have more of an effect on the teams W/L record.

Agreed...Shields was the most valuable player on the team by far and will be very hard to replace.

Huskers beat Chadron St tonight 98-45. It sounds like this may be one of the more athletic teams that Tim Miles has had so far. Young, but athletic. Isaiah Roby put on a good show in his first action as a Husker with 16 points and 7 rebounds. He had a play where he got a block on one end and then went coast to coast with a dunk on the other end. Yes, it is only Chadron, but they did what they should do.
And twitter says we just got another basketball recruit that is very helpful not a good evaluated of the basketball programs needs but this kid seems legit.

If you are talking about Akenten? He has been committed here for a while. I believe he committed shortly after Arop "decommitted".

I know I may wear people out with my praise of Morrow, but I'll say again, he's going to be the most improved player on the team. If he can keep his head straight, he can be a 14/8 kind of player.
Couldn't agree more. Athletic and strong. Give him minutes and he'll get you 10 and 10. Needs to improve defensively, but not making him guard a five in the low post would certainly help.

Miles should team Morrow with Roby in the front court and let McVeigh come off the bench to replace either of them. Jacobsen and the big freshman can share post duties with the big Iowan helping out at the four spot as well.
