On October 20th, 2010 Roy Helu broke (and still holds) the all time single game rushing record. We played Missouri at home, and they and Blane Gabbert had been rolling over opponents until that day. If I remember correctly, we were usin g a number of 3-4 alignments that had Gabbert totally befuddled. Sacks and pressures were coming from everywhere. We basically shut them down in the first half with only 10 points if I remember correctly. They came back somewhat in the second half, but we still beat them by about 17 points. I'm an old guy and I'd have to look at my photos to confirm (I was a sideline photographer for NU and I was mainly in awe of Roy's record setting day) but good ol' double-crosser Blaine Gabbert obviously was not prepared for our 3-4 on that day.
