Echols, a teammate of Calvin at Los Angeles Cathedral, has been pledged to the Bruins since February but has remained a top target of Nebraska. Echols told Rivals he plans to take an official visit to Lincoln.

According to a Scout reporter (Anna Hickey) who interviewed Echols: "Notre Dame is probably No. 1 right now."
EDIT: Don't know really anything about this kid since ND hasn't really hit the West Coast this cycle, but from all accounts it sounds like Echols has a tough time making up his mind.

The quiet month of recruiting will soon be over soon, too.
While July is generally more of a nap than most months on the recruiting calendar, there's still some stuff hopping out there if you look out the right window.
You already may know that five-star wide receiver Joseph Lewis is planning another visit to Lincoln in a couple days.
But there's also been some interesting developments with some other key targets the Huskers are pursuing, including a four-star defensive lineman who just decommitted from UCLA.
Hunter Echols, from Los Angeles, has backed off his commitment to the Bruins and also told Greg Biggins of Scout.com that three schools he knows he'll visit are Nebraska, along with Notre Dame and Alabama.
"I'm not the kind of kid that needs a lot of attention or wants a lot of love from the coaches, I don't want people to think that's why I'm doing this," Echols told Scout. "I just want to be sure of what I'm doing and I think the most fair way to do that is to de-commit and then see if UCLA is still the best spot for me."
He told one Scout reporter Notre Dame is probably his leader right now, but seems to have an open mind and the 6-foot-4, 220-pound prospect isn't committing until the U.S. Army All-American game after the season.

One thing that's becoming clear is new Husker D-line coach John Parrella isn't hesitating in going toe-to-toe with big boy programs for prospects.
we'll see who the Huskers can get to raise their hands to join Robert Porcher and Deontre Thomas as commits in this class.
