I just said good bye to my best friend of 17.5 years.
Like many Dachshunds, kidney disease caught up to her over the last week. Today we decided to end things before she went into full-scale failure. Lab tests showed she was way out of balance. Pills and shots might have bought a liitle more time but we decided to let her go with some dignity.
She will be missed.
