Really, I didn't know that... Then what the hell happened to John Blake at OU? Helluva recruiter but terrible coach.
How about Al Golden? He seemed to recruit pretty well to Miami. He's still coaching there, right?
Mack Brown brought in the highest rated classes in America on numerous occasions, but he wasn't a great coach. His recruits, at times, made him look good. When that stopped happening, what happened to him?
Now the converse must also be true then... BYU has been well documented to have had 40-50 rated classes the last several years. Yet, they've beaten higher rated teams consistently.
How about when Peterson was at Boise State? His recruiting classes weren't tops in America, so how did he do so well?
Kansas State under Snyder has reeled in top class after top class I suspect... That's the only way he could have been successful for so long.
So if I understand your post, only good coaches get good recruits, since they go hand in hand.
You know what, just stop posting. College football is full of great recruiters who struggled with coaching, as well as those who weren't the best recruiters but were great coaches.
The best coaches and recruiters is an awesome combination. But I see that at only a couple of places right now, tOSU and Bama.
The point is, you can struggle with coaching and still bring in highly rated classes. Pundits throughout America talk about Riley's recruiting and his ability to develop players.
And I'm supposed to believe stretch because he is basing his info off an incomplete recruiting cycle?
Nice analysis, stud.
