It is pretty clear we are still a little ways from being a factor in college football and I can accept our program needs overhauling but how long will it take? I really didn't think we were that far off until the injuries started to mount and because of the drastic fall off at vital positions our starters had to play basically on one leg and at TE with one arm.
I really think HCMR is the right guy and he is holding his staff accountable as we all know from his willingness to fire certain coaches who just can't cut it. So how long will it take to get back to being a very good team that can compete every single Saturday against all teams. I feel it may take another few years to get this thing right. This is a serious question I ponder almost every day after the embarrassing losses to OSU and iowa.
