How long until Frost gets criticized?

He will get more time because of ties to NU. That could be a good thing considering how far we have to go.
He will not get more time if he starts out with 3 losing seasons in a row and shows no progress.
He will start being criticized right away if he passes too much and we lose a game when he should have been running the damn ball.
He will be no different than any other coach here ever. He will get criticized by our fans because that is what football fans do. We know more than our coaches and would call every game different than whatever coach is coaching.
Look at Saban. Bama fans criticize him and he will probably go down as one of the winningest coach in history.
Osborne was wise to get out when he did (on top).

I really feel like IF HCMR is let go at the end of this year, all Nebraska fans expect the hire to be Frost. But what if it isn't him? What if Moos has someone else that he thinks will do a better job here? I feel like Nebraska fans have put themselves in corner now and if it isn't Frost the next guy better win right away or the fans will be all over them just like they are with the current staff. Frost would have a longer rope with the fans I think just because of his ties, but I feel sorry for any coach that isn't named Frost, IF we end up with a new coach in 2018. Just my feelings from reading this board, I can only imagine the reaction when the time comes if it's anyone but Frost.
Year 1: No expectations whatsoever. Gut what we need to and start the rebuild.
Year 2: Roughly 7-5'ish season with a crap bowl game.
Year 3: Start competing for first in our division
Year 4: No less than winning our division. Anything less is disappointing
Year 5: Competing/Winning CCG
Obviously hope things will progress faster, but this is the minimum for me.
