He thinks Satt is a great TE and run game guy. Dana used the word cool to refer to them working together. Also NU isn’t going to become an Air Raid team, and that TEs are going to be important.
Yep there are many different concepts of the air raid. Everyone assumes air raid is WR spread and chuck the ball all over the place. He said not a 4 WR set air raid team…
But DH is still running the air raid, that’s what he does. Just with 3 WR and a TE.
We will be in good shape this Fall
For sure, air raid had evolved. You are right most picture what it was 30 years ago when it was a new concept. It’s not 1997 with Justin Coleman at UNK putting up 64 passes in a game type of offense.Yep there are many different concepts of the air raid. Everyone assumes air raid is WR spread and chuck the ball all over the place.
Dana had full control. He could have kicked Satt to the curb. Another post that shows you as a total Piece of garbageSatterfield is a loser who should be nowhere close to this program
The fact Rhule is forcing Dana to answer questions about an incompetent moron who is cashing bigger checks than him every two weeks despite failing miserably at his job is insane
Satterfield is a f*cking loser. He’s never run the ball for shit. Ever.Dana had full control. He could have kicked Satt to the curb. Another post that shows you as a total Piece of garbage
yeah, Satt is untouchable when it comes to Matt Rhule.Satterfield is a f*cking loser. He’s never run the ball for shit. Ever.
Dana doesn’t have complete control - only the simplest of dipshits truly believes that.
On brand for you, dickbreath
So is uncle Donnie & the “qb coach”yeah, Satt is untouchable when it comes to Matt Rhule.
Dana also knows this..
If you asked any husker coach how another husker coach is doing, what do people think they are gonna say?
It's not like they are going to talk shit.. in fact the opposite.. they will have so much praise for that coach, it will be like buttering up your buthole level of praise. And isn't that sort of what we got?
None of that crap means anything.. what matters is W's next fall
Given that he appears to be a good TE coach and by all accounts works well with Donnie Raiola and Holgerson, I’d say keep him on the books.Should Rhule have fired Satterfield and paid him not to coach?
How do you really feel about Satterfield??😂😂Satterfield is a loser who should be nowhere close to this program

I would say if he’s a good enough TE coach you don’t throw money away firing him but I’m interested in Kongs opinion.Given that he appears to be a good TE coach and by all accounts works well with Donnie Raiola and Holgerson, I’d say keep him on the books.

Nice to see the two of you are still getting along so well.Satterfield is a f*cking loser. He’s never run the ball for shit. Ever.

I’m just going by what Holgerson and Rhule have said in public about Satt. The guy is not a B1G caliber OC, but he can apparently coach TEs, and his experience as a coordinator serves the overall in terms of game planning. I see his demotion from OC and retention for the TEs plus getting Holgerson as OC as a win win.I would say if he’s a good enough TE coach you don’t throw money away firing him but I’m interested in Kongs opinion.
I wouldn’t stop to piss if his guts were on fire .Nice to see the two of you are still getting along so well.
man, hate to agree with you @king_kong_ but i would place money on their being a lot of truth to thisSo is uncle Donnie & the “qb coach”
Dana is just playing nice
Absolutely he should have.Should Rhule have fired Satterfield and paid him not to coach?
Will Satterfield be retained when his contract expires after this season? Certainly not at the same rate. Which is why it’s kind of weird that he is still here. The alternative of finding a worthy TE coach without awkward overtones for a mere 300-400K-ish out of the pocketbook would seem to be a fine option. Dana said something interesting in his presser talking about Satt . He said he is a good TE coach and a great “Great run game “ guy .so to answer you questions about next year . I could see Satt as TE/ run game coordinator. Wich increase his salary by 200k or so to get him at a respectable amount. Obviously not an OC amount like he was making but respectable.we will find out at seasons end. Will Satterfield be retained when his contract expires after this season? Certainly not at the same rate. Satt being a “ great run game guy” doesn’t make sense given his all out refusal to run the ball last year.Dana said something interesting in his presser talking about Satt . As long as his salary goes down at the end of the current contractI’m just going by what Holgerson and Rhule have said in public about Satt. It willAs long as his salary goes down at the end of the current contract
The situation does not appear awkward to the other coaches or players. There does seem to be a weird hatred of Satt coming from a small slice of the fanbase. Will Satterfield be retained when his contract expires after this season? Certainly not at the same rate. I'll revise to a small slice of folks on the message board.I'm not sure they hate Sat. They or WE just hate how bad of an offensive coordinator he was. I don't think it's more than that. At least not with me it isn't
Holla
I don't hate Satt. Never met the man. I don't know how good of a coach he is. He was te coach who had a subpar group or didn't use them right. He was OC who wasn't a good OC or didn't use the personnel right. Since he was OC and his position group wasn't producing the greatest, what do we make of this? Changed OC and his position group got better production from players previously not starting, 1 transfers and 1 puts up testing numbers at the combine that were near freakish for the way he played here. The situation does not appear awkward to the other coaches or players. Yep. Then we could have laid out tens of thousands more to replace him as TE coach......Should Rhule have fired Satterfield and paid him not to coach?
We're paying Satt one way or another. It appears clear that he wasn't a good game day coach. He may be great during the week. Having him as a former OC as our TE coach is probably a benefit. We're paying him one way or another and as long as Dana can work with him we should have no problem with it. We basically almost completely overhauled our skill position coaching on offense with virtually no disruption. I think that's a good thing. I don't get the hate for the man. How should we feel 🤔
Hey I understand we're stuck with him and his salary for this year. Like I said I don't hate him since I have never met him. We're paying Satt one way or another. You assume he had free reign...Satt being a “ great run game guy” doesn’t make sense given his all out refusal to run the ball last year.
