Hoiskers -9.5 dogs against the Terps.

Essegian was standing wide open for 3 on the wing earlier for a catch and shoot and they don't give him the ball. More dribbling by our "best" guard. Damn. Forget usiing up the game clock. Tie the score when you have the chance.

Why not take a TO and draw something up? I don’t get it?
You had the ball in Brice's hands. Two possessions in the last minute he had legit 3 point shooters open on the wing and chose to dribble the air out of the ball. The end was in our best player's hands and he pissed it away. You can't draw up a better play than Essegian standing open on the wing for a catch and shoot. Earlier he had Sam WIDE open and dribbled in to 3 guys in the paint. Brice acted like he didn't care today.

I was yelling get over half - call a TO. Instead you get that bad shot and game over.
We got the bad shot because our best player didn't throw the ball to our best 3 point shooter who was WIDE open. You could draw up all kinds of plays and NEVER get a better look than Essegian was going to have standing on the wing. Earlier Brice did the same thing with Sam standing wide open. I hope to hell they make him watch those 2 plays a dozen times on the flight home.

I didn’t watch most of this one. Starting to feel like a long losing streak in the making. Not that it isn’t already. This team isn’t playing in March.

I don’t think we make the B1G tourney.

I’m not there yet, we’ll still win a bunch of games at home. But the NCAA tournament is fading fast, probably 1-2 home losses away from being completely gone. We lack consistent backcourt play, we got no scoring or athleticism on the wings and our perimeter defense is crap.

I only see 1 of those 3 things (potentially) improving. We can maybe get better at defending the 3 but I don’t see our offensive deficiencies improving much. (PG & Wing play) At this point we’re looking for things we don’t have. Not good…

We’ve been an assumed tourney team all year

Until we lost to Rutgers at home

Now it’s an uphill climb

Not exactly building on last year’s achievements/momentum

Going backwards

Had ourselves in a great position. Go .500 or slightly better in conference and we’re safely in. Playing our way out of the tourney as of now. Teams know where we’re deficient on both sides of the ball and they’re attacking accordingly. Fred’s gonna earn his paycheck if he can find a way to mask/mitigate our deficiencies at point guard and wing…

This has been a staple of Hoiberg, not necessarily just Brice and it isn’t just today. It’s every single last possession situation in every half of every game. It’s actually pretty mind blowing how consistently bad it is. Easily a 95% failure rate.
