This is such and ugly game. Almost as bad as some of the NCAA tourney games I've watched with guys carrying the ball for 4 steps while wrapping it around their body to dunk.
I watched most of that Iowa game, He was forcing shots while moving coming off of screens. That isn't his game. Had to force shots to try to generate offense. He's getting open catches while faced up for the most part tonight. He needs guys around him to be better in order to utilize his best skill. He's playing pretty good D tonight but he's not facing a tourney team either.

Essegian. Another smart play. I've seen so much stupidity out of starters and backup bigs this year....i don't know what to do watching some guys who have a basketball IQ higher than 50.....
The game turned when ASUs only big guy got into foul trouble, and then fouled out immediately upon returning. Going to a small lineup was huge for NU. Along with Essegian getting hot. We can actually get guys to the rim and finish with a small lineup.

He can be a good piece but they can't expect him to be the only shooter on the floor. He needs to be put in catch and shoot, facing up situations. He's not great on the move from the perimeter. He's not Steph Curry. I blame a lack of of other options and crappy point guard play.

I guarantee you there's a lot of money on this game in Vegas. What was the spread. The town is FULL of degenerate basketball gamblers over these couple of weeks.
