University of Nebraska men’s basketball coach Fred Hoiberg will undergo a medical procedure this Friday to have his pacemaker replaced. This will be the second pacemaker replacement for Hoiberg, as he previously underwent the procedure in 2014. The pacemaker was originally placed in 2005 when he had open-heart surgery to repair an aortic aneurysm.
Media Note: Hoiberg will be available on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at 1 p.m. as part of his previously announced media availability. That will take place following the football press conference in the Hawks Media Center.
