I mean, Williams was always going to force that shot up regardless.
He’s one of our better perimeter shooters.
Disappointing.
The score made that look closer than it was. Gaels missed probably 14 points of easy layups and the refs were on our side. I thought it looked a little too hard for us on offense. Not super optimistic.
They’ll need to pass it around better to find open shots because it looks like the defense will take a step backwards this year. Rebounding wasn’t good here either.

Got sloppy when Brice went out with his 4th. Pretty good effort though. Saw some encouraging stuff.
Offense struggles with Brice Williams out. Gary didn’t have a good offensive game, which was needed because our 2 transfer 3-point shooters have not shot very well yet. Need a consistent 2nd scorer each game if we are to repeat last year’s success.
That’s not true. Nebraskas defense forced a lot of those misses. Nebraska played better today but they’re still not any good in half court with no good ball movement. Maybe with time they will figure it out but they are missing Mast’s inside out presence and consistent 3 point shooting.
