"Shortly after the text, two school security officers observed [Highlands Ranch football coach Mark] Robinson driving a player’s car away. Robinson told security he was taking the car to put gas in it, but when he returned the parking lot he did not have the vehicle. After the sniff operation was over, security alerted [officer Ryan] Wood that Robinson had moved the car from campus to in front of his house, which is across the street from the school.
At that time, a deputy took a K-9 unit and ran around the player’s car, yielding a positive hit. The player refused to allow the vehicle to be searched and told Wood that Robinson had taken his car to get some personal items."
