Thank goodness you had the “receipts” of you stating that he should play TE, because none of the other 98% of the population that thought the same thing would ever have believed you had you not produced the receipts. Not really playing the victim when I'm stating facts and I have the best projection rate on this board. And as always, I bring receipts.
We kind of HAD to have him at QB and I would bet he would have been called on to play QB if Dylan would have been injured in New York.Good for him. It was coaching malpractice to insist he was a QB. Thank goodness for the new OC.
Name one please. No it wasn't the norm, and there were plenty saying moving him to TE wouldn't work.
I am one who doubted it. I’ll own it. People were making it sound too easy to just play tight end because you are athletic.Name one please.
You’ were not wrong in saying it isn’t that easy to switch from QB to TE. That said it isn’t like Haarberg was a typical QB. I don’t recall you ridiculing anybody for saying he could be successful as a TE. We’ll see if he ends up as a regular productive starter next year.I am one who doubted it. I’ll own it. People were making it sound too easy to just play tight end because you are athletic.
But as I said in another thread, while he needs improvement he impressed me and can definitely do it well.
And I also said satt deserves credit for how he has improved the tight ends, and dana does too of course especially for waking up fidone.
In my quoted post, if you click on the hyperlink, it will take you directly to the thread in question. And had someone admit it in this thread too.Name one please.
Hyperlink in quoted post? Where? Damn man. Get a grip. He’s not the starting TE next year just yet. Don’t bruise yourself beating your chest for something virtually everybody said he could do.In my quoted post, if you click on the hyperlink, it will take you directly to the thread in question. We like creepy here.Would have been creepy for a 63-year-old man to ask a 20-year-old woman for a selfie. My bad.
Thought the board would be smart enough to follow a link reference when it is given, but perhaps I give too much credit.Hyperlink in quoted post? Where? Damn man. Get a grip. show me the link. There’s not one in this thread.Thought the board would be smart enough to follow a link reference when it is given, but perhaps I give too much credit.
I think he’s referring to this, where he proudly proclaimed on December 4 of this year that HH should be a tied end. December 4.Not really playing the victim when I'm stating facts and I have the best projection rate on this board. And as always, I bring receipts.
Here's a couple more.show me the link. There’s not one in this thread.
he is a much slower Taylor Martinez. If he could pitch. He can't. The best we will ever see out of him as a TE is him housing a seam route due to a bad coverage call.
Our best athlete is Carter Nelson. No need for a Haarberg project at TE when we have him. Haarberg has no change of direction
You are assuming he's gonna know how to run good routes, set up DBs or LBs and finally catch the ball AND block.
After watching some WRs who have played multiple years have problems running good routes etc it's a huge mistake just assuming that's gonna happen with someone who hasn't even done it an entire year in his life.
Just saying it's not as easy as switch position and watch him go.
Holla
Do you think 1 catch for 8 yards and one pancake block proves my analysis wrong???? You really think he's going to start before Fidone or Lindenmeyer? What are the plans with Carter Nelson, a much more gifted athlete? Here's a couple more.
Wasn't trying to pick on you too much besides where the thread was headed. I don't think Fidone is getting any better, while I think HH has the chance to get much better heading into next season. Lindenmeyer is excellent in the running game, but probably near maxed out as a pass catcher already. With a good offseason, both Carter Nelson and HH have the chance to surpass them.Do you think 1 catch for 8 yards and one pancake block proves my analysis wrong???? He had to come up with something, yours is just the best he could come up with to feel vindicated.Do you think 1 catch for 8 yards and one pancake block proves my analysis wrong???? So if they greatly improve, they will have a chance to start?Wasn't trying to pick on you too much besides where the thread was headed. I already made the projection that HH would start next year. Go ahead and keep that one.So if they greatly improve, they will have a chance to start?
You best 📌 this one and put it on top of that massive pile of receipts.
I get being excited for the kid. I am a fan of his love and loyalty. If he can contribute, I just hope it's in a way that doesn't hold back or suppress the talent we have already recruited for the position. He had to come up with something, yours is just the best he could come up with to feel vindicated.
You betcha, that is gold, really going out on a limb. Not quite “I saw Bullock shine as a 3rd stringer in mop up duty as a db in the spring game 3 years ago and projected then that he would be the starting linebacker in 2024,” but still, really aggressive and bold take by you. We will all be so intrigued to see if you can keep your streak of 1 alive.I already made the projection that HH would start next year. Go ahead and keep that one.
I did predict Bullock would see significant playing time as a result of his spring game performance a couple years prior. On that, you are correct. You betcha, that is gold, really going out on a limb. HH would be our most athletic TE, no doubt. My only question with him is his blocking ability. That said, I was impressed that he moved to TE, knowing it would be his best chance to reach the next level. I've no doubt he's gonna work his a$$ off to turn himself into an NFL TE.HH is a pure football player. It was so good to see him get so much time out there & do well.
In the bowl game, it looked like he sure loves blocking (hitting) in generalHH would be our most athletic TE, no doubt. My only question with him is his blocking ability. He’s a willing participant and exhibit A as to why we need to keep recruiting Nebraska kids as much as possible. IF we’re going to gamble on some prospects to develop I want as many of them as possible to be Nebraska kids.In the bowl game, it looked like he sure loves blocking (hitting) in general
He’s way the F better at blocking than FidoneHH would be our most athletic TE, no doubt. My only question with him is his blocking ability. You're wrongNo it wasn't the norm, and there were plenty saying moving him to TE wouldn't work.
it's good when folks can figure out how best to use players.
Exactly. He just is not a QB. And it is an indication of how failed Sims was as a transfer that the coaches were forced to play HH as a QB. He has the physical tools to be a really good TE.Good for him. It was coaching malpractice to insist he was a QB. Thank goodness for the new OC.
