i've grown to sorta admire primetime as the season progressed. he's certainly made cu a fashion. and they are better albite not great. he coaches his kids old school. they actually go to school or don't see his field. the heisman winner is also a 4.0 student. after the beatdown last night he showed genuine respect for byu's coach, friendship actually. so to my mind there are worse models than deon sanders in the coaching realm. i hope he stays at cu.

Kids go to class but doesn’t seem like they are learning about be a class person. Some are, maybe even a large majority but that isn’t the spotlighted versions.

What classes are the players taking? Saw UNC and how they treated many of their players in hoops. It’s a good thing to get educated and be able to think, absolutely.

Yeah, a lotta leaders in this country don't place "being a class person" on the top of their curriculum. Doesn't mean they aren't effective at getting their job done, in fact, sometimes it helps.

Having class isn’t a necessity for success, based on how many determine what that means. Nebraska has had some questionable character guys over the years.

What bothers me as a coach, different level, is that coaches who preach character but seem to only back it up when the media and others can pat them on the back. No coach is perfect, some want to present that they are.

I don’t believe that is true. Being a class person is important. Sure some people are successful in spite of being classless, but not because of it.

Biggest worry about Hunter is two fold.
1-will he hold up to the the physicality of the league and will he want to try two way play
2-will his girlfriend be a social media and locker room issue that distracts and takes away from his focus on the field and potentially irritate teammates and fans

He is the best talent on that team.

based on the little i have seen, i would take cam ward over sanders. sanders has been propped up by his dad's good fortune. ward came from nowhere to elite. beyond that, ward just seems to be more athletic and skilled. so if sanders goes to the raiders, that would be a fine play with me.
