Sensitive subject here, but I wanted to hear if anyone else has done this or has experience with it. My genetics and my wife's genetics aren't let's say "D1 caliber", and I really wouldn't expect my kids to play any sports at that level anyway unless it happens, which is partially out of my control. My kids are right now on the small side of the growth charts, and even though I'm actually above average height (not a giant), I was telling our doctor that my siblings are all below average in height. She brought up the idea that she could prescribe some sort of growth hormone to the kids before puberty which would help them in this area. She said there are social stigmas dealing with being short, so just keep it in the back of your mind.
Do these growth hormones come as pills, injections? Ever heard of a doctor openly prescribing them to prevent social awkwardness? The only kid I knew in HS that took growth hormones (legally) had some skeletal and muscular deficiencies, so it was Forrest Gump braces and trying to strengthen his lower body. Dude was huge up top, but had chicken legs when he graduated from HS.
Doctors or any other people with experience, would love to hear your story. Anyone claiming to out-squat Tanner Farmer and the rest of the OL can keep the snark out of it.
