Greyshirts...

[Why Man]

What ever happened to "Greyshirts?" You don't hear much about them any more.
IIRC, a prospect could greyshirt, which meant to pay their way for a year and be guaranteed a scholarship.
Does anyone use this strategy in today's day and age?
