1) There are coaches within the top end of this conference who have championship pedigrees. They're proven game planners. They're proven recruiters. They're proven at getting their best talent (however young) prepared and game ready. We have zero idea if Riley & Co belong in that group.

2) $450,000 and a FT coaching slot dedicated to special teams seems like a pretty big joke relative to production and results.

3) Coaches who are best known for their twitter chops really need to shut'er down and just focus on their coaching and recruiting. Savages got savaged. Lock down U got punked. All gas no breaks couldn't get off a block if they tried. A football game can't be won on twitter.

Pre-game during his sideline interview, Mike Riley said he was excited to see his team compete in a game in that type of environment. Well, the film isn't going to lie. The Huskers weren't prepared and from start to finish the program were outclassed, out-coached, out-efforted and generally put in their place.

I sure hope Riley has something that can make him excited all over again for tomorrow because that wasn't close to being competitive today.

I'm past getting mad or bummed. Just going to look to next week and root for the best. Unfortunately, this was AT LEAST two steps back. Hope they can keep whatever momentum in recruiting intact. That was not helpful in that regard. Blech.

GBR!
