Apparently HCMR is 7-2 in bowl games for a reason. Hopefully we can build off this and discovered a new identity to boot. Happy for this team

I'm hoping with Epley back and Mark Phillip working them hard, we can see more of this next year. Physical and punishing.

I Would love that. You don't lose to inferior teams when you control the game with the run.

Great job coaches and players. Offense stepped up when the defense was down, then the defense stepped up when the offense slowdown.

I'm not holding my breath about having Epley back will be a benefit. As I recall, his methods were discreditied towards the end of his last run.

Great game and springboard for next year. The defense needs more speed specifically at linebacker and needs Gerry to play like he did down the stretch. The offense looks to be in pretty good shape with a senior QB who discovered how to eat a bad play and live for the next down.

Yes they finished below .500 which no one wants or applauds but I think there is promise with this team.

Now go recruit like hell and lets upgrade the needed talent.

I think the last 4 games of the season taught this staff a lot. Every game seemed to be more consistent in calls and continuity on the offense. The defense really seemed to gel and started playing in the system. Get a little better DB's and the top end looks good for the future

Husker Football. Loved it. Hopefully we will build on this for next year and be the team we all believe we can be.

Don't know if I should feel thrilled or pissed. 12 games and a month of bowl prep to figure this team out. Export this game plan to the Illinois, Purdue, Northwestern, Wisconsin and Iowa games, and they're not in the foster farms bowl.

Riley has always been pretty good at beating the Los Angeles schools. If we can replicate this in the Big Ten next year, I'll be thrilled.
