Saban - Meyer - Osborne - Snyder - name a great coach and they do have one thing ( at least) in common:

"Attention to detail" no issue small or large is left alone there is always a plan to correct virtually everything - everything is analyzed down to the smallest detail

I hope Riley has this quality - he does appear organized and proactive so far - if he does I think his tenure here can be very successful.

Too often over the last ten years we have always had some issue that clouded other good aspect of the program - good offense with a bad defense at the same time - good coaching in one area and poor in another

Great interview by Kugler with Riley on BRW last night. Riley speaks to the importance of discipline...how you have NO chance if you aren't. If you are, and then guys start to make plays and are better than you're opponent, you've got a good change at winning a lot of games.

Count me in the group that think Riley's is going to thrive at Nebraska. We may not go undefeated this year but I think it'll be pretty clear which direction the ship is headed after we conclude year 1. He's smart enough to not proclaim a thing, but I think he's just what the doctored ordered (a great communicator, has vast experience, understands expectations, is hungry to prove he can win more games with an elite program, wants to be here, and can handle things correctly when the ball doesn't bounce our way).

Even beyond the coaching. I can't imagine trying to be Papuchis or Beck doing my job with a guy that was totally out of control screaming in your face or headset at a crunch time. Bo would have been the guy that gets everybody in his patrol killed by losing it under duress. It was IMO a horrible psychological situation for both his assistants and players. Those problems are gone. IMO we hired much more qualified and competent people that have been there and done that and I think that will translate in to some wins we might not have gotten this year with Bo on the sideline. I think the Pelini Plateau (9-10 wins) is very reachable for this group IF we can somehow cobble together enough linebackers to last through the season. GBR

I would put BC in the above list. Unfortunately, would also put him in the other list mentioned in the first post....
