Surprised the foul wasn't called on the Elon player for getting in the way of Grayson's leg.
Coach K should force him to transfer to Nebraska, that's severe punishment.
You sound like that annoying poster from Michigan who comes here to defend any and everything said about his program. I really don't want to hear how he sounds remorseful or other apologetic talk. Sometimes you just have bad character.
What the hell are you babbling about?
Actually, off the court he is one of the more involved players in local charities and helping people. And that's saying a lot given how much Amile Jefferson gives back to the community.
Actually, those sorts of things have happened numerous times in the past. Look at the Miami games 4-5 years ago. Look at the Virginia games in the late 90's/early 2000's and the Clemson games during the same time period. There were plenty of issues with NC State in the post-Valvano years. And there have always been sporadic issues with UNC. Coach K would go nuts with the officials during the game but I am not aware of any time when it carried over to after the game, "squealing" or anything else. That is why I was so surprised by his actions with the Oregon kid after last years NCAA game. Not remotely his style, unlike coaches like Williams and most notably Dean Smith.
Okay, BigBoxes. A little overreaction on my part. But my comment about his actions off the court were not meant to defend him. It's not like we don't know what he did and I'm saying 'oh, I don't think he really did it, he's such a good guy". I'm saying his anger issues on the court seem out of character. I was just pointing out that he's different than the guy who's a dick 24/7. But it's not an excuse, you cannot excuse 3 times. It's just somewhat perplexing. As for the comments about Coach K squealing, THAT is not supported by the record. I would guess I have attended and/or watched on TV far more Duke games and Coach K press conferences than anyone else on this board. There have been plenty of times when Duke players have been kicked, intentionally elbowed and even punched over the years. I have never heard Coach K "squeal" about those players. During the game, yes, he would get on officials demanding an intentional foul and/or a technical, and not use exactly polite language in doing so. However, I have never heard him comment about a player after the game was over. So that comment is not supported by the facts. And this is in a league where other "big name" coaches have routinely gotten in players' faces during games. Heck, back when I was at Duke in one game Coach Smith of UNC got in a Virginia player's grill during a timeout, as he so typically did. A second, bottom of the bench VA player then got right back in Smith's face, wagging his finger and making Smith back down. Me and 2 other fellow Dookies wrote the ACC office and nominated that second VA player as ACC player of the week. Strangely, we never heard back. But in a league where coaches of K's stature routinely got in the faces of players on other teams and complained obliquely about other teams' players after the fact, K had never done so, to my knowledge, until last year's Oregon game. That disappointed me and I was happy when K immediately apologized, both on camera and personally to Altman and the kid.
Paragraphs. Break it up. LOL
Yeah, I know you're not a bad guy. You got my gist and I got yours.![]()
I would say he has a problem that will need professional help as it is an impulse disorder. He seems like one of the most annoying people on and off the court.
